Slow Piastri front tire change was the difference.

Probably Lando’s best race of the season.

The McLaren was dominant this weekend. Lapped all the way thru P7.

Pretty sure Lando and Piastri had bad stops.

Agreed. Maybe Canada flipped the switch.

Jonathan Wheatley has made huge gains at Sauber. More of the RB brain drain

Piastri pushed Lando the whole race. Showed the real pace of those cars.

Banger of a first stint. Ho hum rest of the race minus a few back marker moves.

I thought it was a pretty decent race.

Then again, I had the TV muted.

The commentary sucks today. Karun and the other guy sound like amateurs

I don’t mind Karun actually. But the other nasally pre-pubescent guy doing ‘pbp’ is definitely hard to listen to.

Same. Kept my attention the whole way.

That was an amazing drive from my boy Lando. So happy for him, and happy Oscar grabbed 2nd like he did. Papaya!

All right, the TD F1 Championship results are in!

dg42.net/TDF1/race-results.php?race=11

The winner of the TD F1 Austrian Grand Prix is sorantable with his third win of the season!

The podium is filled out by auisssa in P2 for his second podium and ephidelt541 in P3 for his third podium afte a bit of a dry spell.

Here's the championship table: dg42.net/TDF1/index.php?table=full

sorantable is back on top after leading the first six races then dropping off a bit.

VABuckeye back up to P2 with strong P4 race finish.

The Top 4, sorantable, VABuckeye, pitstop, and gatorhater08, as well as ephidelt541 in P7 have three podiums each.

Grassy1 has scored points in eight of the first 11 races. Amazing job!

Good race.

FIA needs to be MUCH more aggressive about making lapped cars get the frick out of the way immediately when there is a legitimate battle going on.

I don't think Piastri had the juice to actually get around Norris, but it would have been nice to find out.

The winning score for the Austrian GP (417.2 pts) was the 2nd lowest of the season so far, after China (394.2 pts) where three drivers were DQ'd. Austria had several drivers wildly out of place of our expectations. Not just the DNFers but guys like Lawson and Bortoleto were too high.

The highest score so far this season was jefforize at Miami with 516.6 pts. Check out his scorecard. I think the maximum is 548 pts.

Yeah, the pit team on the front left tire going to get drilled this week. That performance but then was weak.

Karun is my favorite of the TV announcer personalities.

I think so. He had piastri on his gear box for a third of the race hitting 3 doses of DRS a lap and Lando still won
