Dale Jr. is leaving NBC to join streaming services Amazon & Warner Bros. Discovery when they have a slate of races to broadcast next season. This means he will not be in the NBC booth this season.

And I won’t be a viewer either, for any of the paysite races.

I don't understand people's resistance to streamers.
It's the way it is now. Either adapt or be left behind.

I will watch if I already have whatever service it’s on. Won’t pay extra. Just not worth the money or hassle to cancel.

Only five actual midseason races will be on Prime anyway. I believe everything else will be practice and qualifying. The WB Discovery races are going to be on TNT.
I would get the resistance if NASCAR moved the bulk of the Cup schedule across streaming-only platforms, but they didn't. This is going to be a nothingburger for most fans.

Then I’ll miss 5 races. But the thing is they’ll only increase the pay races as years go and will lose their core viewers.

Stewart Haas and ford are expected to split after this year. I think Tony will sell 2 charters this year. I wouldn’t be shocked if Stewart Haas became the first target for Honda when they come to NASCAR.

Surprised this hasn't happened already

Traditional cable and terrestrial TV are dying. Is what it is.

Exactly.
I get that people don't like change. But everything changes. Either change w/it or be left behind

I wouldn’t be surprised if Tony sold his share completely.

He’s done nothing to enhance the team so he might as well.

Traditional cable is still technically pay TV anyway, on which much of the NASCAR schedule has been for 40+ years, going back to ESPN, TNN, TNT, etc. Yet the sport grew exponentially.
Full seasons weren't even broadcasted live until the late 90s. Nearly half the schedule is on cable now. Races can also be found in-full on YouTube within hours of a broadcast.
Sports adapt to change, and most fans adapt with them.

Rajah Caruth with his first career pole and win in trucks tonight. Good for him.

He’s got talent. Just really raw.

Yep, I think it’s been a matter of him getting paired up with the right opportunity. Looks like he found a fit with Spire.

Logano on Pole tomorrow, Larson P2.
Larson looked super fast in practice.
