He doesn't wreck a lot of cars. In racing being there at the end to win those 'fluke' wins is somewhat of a skill, though he isn't going to win any championships that way. I could see him being somewhat of a middling driver and then maybe he ends up in the perfect situation or something just clicks for him later in his career, similar to MTJ. (though MTJ was always a good driver IMO)
He now has more top-10 finishes than Larson and Elliott so far this season, and is tied with Byron in that regard. So I agree, there's something to be said for keeping his cars intact.
He also had the most total stage points yesterday, so I wouldn't necessarily call his win a fluke either. He had a good race, and staying out on wet tires with the clock running down worked in his favor.
Bowman may never be a championship driver, but I think people are unfairly harsh on him, especially between the concussion and broken back over the last couple of years. He admitted he had sucked since the back injury. Finally getting back to victory lane could be what gets things to click for him.

Could a street course be setup in downtown New Orleans?
I'd like to see NASCAR explore moving the clash to different stadiums year along with a street course in a different city.

Being a Hendrick driver is just a different level. You're expected to be a frontrunner in most races because you usually have at least a top 10 car. I think its hard to get honest discourse from anyone on Gibbs or Hendrick drivers because of the ire those organizations generate.

We’ll likely see Bubba and Kyle angers flare up as we get closer to Chase and they are on outside looking in.

I highly doubt it. The amount of medians and separators on the highway make it impossible to me. If there were no medians then you might be able to make it work. But I don’t see it.
Best chance at a nascar race is to really invest into NOLA motorsports… or resurrect plans for that 2 mile oval that got shelved 25 years ago.

Sounds like Noah Gragson will be going to Front Row Motorsports.

Nut up or shut up time for Corey Lajoie. I think he’s on the chopping block for 26.

He deserved it.
Should have lost points too. XFinity driver lost points the prior week for spinning someone under yellow.
What makes this fine so weak is intent. Most drivers have heat of moment encounters. But Bubba had over 2-3 hours to think about what to do. And still did this.
Guy has a temper issue. He assaulted an Asian driver in the infield front stretch. Then pushed a Nascar worker. Then walked to pits from the track. And only got a 1 race suspension. Chase got a 1 race suspension for hooking Hamlin after Hamlin walled him. It was immediately not pre planned.
Hitting Bowman was pre planned for hours.

Apparently NASCAR needs a little work in the Asian Hate department
