SVG is on the pole for the Xfinity race. Larson starting P2.

At least the weather is good this year instead of a massive flood.

Joey Logano in the Xfinity Series car usually driven by Hailie Deegan this weekend so the team can evaluate its equipment and performance parameters.

Deegan’s road course qualifying this year:

COTA: 35th
Portland: 38th
Sonoma: 37th

Joey in the same car at Chicago: 15th

Deegan just doesn't have the talent for the big time. A metric shite ton of resources have been wasted on her by Ford and others that should have gone to some one with actual driving talent.

The front row pair has been mixing it up pretty good for the first 8 laps.

SVG is so good at this style. He has been on Larson’s bumper but hasn’t bumped him. I feel like if it were anyone else, even AJ, they would have hit Kyle by now.

SVG running that heel-toe method gives him great car control under breaking.

Side note but a guy like Ricky Rudd would be lights out at road courses in the next gen.

Fun race today so far. Crowd has been great. And the weather is perfect compared to last year.

Buddy Guy performed on the main stage before the green flag dropped, too, which was awesome.

NASCAR wastes FAR too many laps under caution.

That SVG dude can drive the wheels off of a race car.

Also, Joey finishing 8th in a car he's never sat in tells us all we need to know about Ms. Deegan's talents.

That was fun, especially the early laps with SVG and Larson battling. SVG said they were having fun, waving at each other and giving thumbs up.

Been preaching it. This was a DEI hire only. Wasted chance for someone else.

And same for Creed he took out a few more cars today before he finally got taken out late.

But what a race until pit strategy between Larson and SVG. They were having fun and even with leaning on each other did it as respectful as possible. Aggressive yet skilled.

I hate all those back-markers causing late cautions and we lost several laps of racing. And Larson was coming too, but ran out of laps. He got killed on cautions just as he was passing yellow comes out.

Really good race. Chicago got lots of free press with all the aerial shots. Also, AJ shite his pants trying to keep up with Larson/SVG and wiped out. And that one wreck having at least 6-7 cars all smushed up in an accordion style bender. Wonder what caused it? Car in front brake checking and car behind slamming on brakes then all did.

Congrats to SVG, living his best dream right now.

Shane’s road course results in top 2 series.

Chicago 23 - 1st
Indy road 23 - 10th
COTA Xfinity - 27th (should’ve finished 2nd. Should’ve won before the OT BS)
COTA Cup - 20th (lost 1st gear)
Portland - 1st
Sonoma - 1st
Chicago Xfinity - 1st

He’s 4 for 7 in nascar road races. That’s Jeff Gordon 90s esque.

I would imagine NASCAR’s ultimate plan would be a separate series for the EV.
