Brawn was the god behind the Merc dominance.
brawns benneton and Ferrari cars were designed by rory byrne. Brawn left Mercedes in 2013, 3 years before the hybrid era began. His role was more comparable to Horner than Newey although i think his track record is far superior to Horner

Twitters saying Christian will be let go before Australia. Felt inevitable.

Complete turnaround at Red Bull, according to F1 Insider: “F1 Insider has information that the Thais now want to follow the Austrians Mintzlaff and Mateschitz to fire Horner. One reason: on the American market, important for Red Bull, calls for a boycott have been increasing since the affair. Secondly, Red Bull's Thai managers fear that the collaborator will address the public in the coming days and speak out about the internal investigation, which was perhaps not as objective as we want to make it out to be. believe in the fans. »

Red Bull - Austria just confirmed to news outlets that this is fake news. No plans to release Horner.

Here's to hoping we don't have another race as boring as that one the rest of the season (outside of one particular race we all know will be even more boring)

I've been talking to F1 to my brother for a few years now and he finally watched a race. Wasn't exactly one that will get you hooked.

As Saudi?

Saudi was a pretty good race from 2 back.

Lots of good storylines and driving

Man it was a snooze fest for me for some reason. I didn't read the thread to see how others felt so I didn't realize most liked it. It just didn't do it for me.

VCARB not off to a great start

Yeah, the mid-tier racing was pretty good and Mangusson playing blocker for Hulk was fun to watch.

I mean, it wasn't thrilling or anything, but a solid C+ or B-. Better than what we normally have seen last 2 years.

Red Bull will likely have an upgrade package for Imola.

Ferrari will possibly upgrade for Suzuka

Im not an aero engineer or anything, but the floor on Stroll's AM looks pretty... simple?

That's good to hear. They've really been struggling lately. Maybe these upgrades will help them fight for a podium or something.

It was a snooze fest for me too. Last year as well. Unfortunately that’s the sport right now. Hopefully this season gets more interesting.

Seeing Max win after lap 1 is getting pretty old.

the most exciting thing in the race was a car going slow so his teammate could get p10 and a guy taking the second faster car to p7.

That was cool. I don't recall seeing that before.

I get real excited and then Max takes the lead.

I can understand how people get to this place, but its not like you refuse to watch any sports game that doesn't have championship implications. With racing you have to think of the races as a whole slate of games. Sure 1st place matters, but there are plenty of story lines all up and down the grid. Bahrain sucked 1-20, but jeddah is a fun track to watch and had a few interesting battles.

They hardly even show Max. Most of the telecast was watching the battles far behind him.

Ignore the scoring graphic and you'd never know who the leader is.

They only show Max on the last lap. I get it, but it's kind of annoying because there are usually other battles going on that I'd like to see. Just tell me Max finished 30 seconds up and keep the cameras on the last lap battles
