Still no news on Perez today huh?

Do yall think Max will fall victim to the “lose a few tenths due to having children” thing? And if so and he only ends up with 4 titles, same as Seb, where does he land in the rankings?

Here are the final standings of the 2024 F1 Destructor's Championship.

The most aggravating one I remember was from Baku, Perez taking out Sainz on the last lap from a podium*? position. Cost Ferrari a ton of points and a whole car it seems.

Almost every driver has said this is a thing. Even Max has said he will leave when it takes too much from his family.

He is a very involved step parent now, so maybe he has already had that fall off.

Saw a stat earlier… Perez’s point gap to Max was greater than all other 1 to 2s combined.

Supposedly he already knew she was pregnant before Brazil. Maybe it will click once the baby is born, but driving like that in the rain didn’t seem like a drop off.

True true, I could have sworn I saw that rumor a long time ago.

That's a very interesting question.

I think for most, pregnancy is one thing. Holding and getting to know that baby is whole nother chapter in life!

Let’s be honest, the sport is far safer than it used to be, so I feel like this whole take the edge off thing is a little over blown now

No F1 death since Senna, right?

Eh, I’d say Jules Bianchi was an F1 death since then and there have been a few in the lesser classes still.

It’s safer but a freak accident could still happen.

Grosjean’s wreck could have been one of them.

Jules Bianchi died at Suzuka in 2014. He actually died 9 months later but the crash is what did it.

I think somebody else crashed and then Jules went off the track and hit the back of a piece of heavy equipment that was cleaning up the first crash. It happened during a double yellow flag. I believe it led to a change in safety procedure. No more cars on track while heavy machinery is present.

Yeah. It was horrific. Crazy how they used to go at speed while a crashed car was present.

Wasn't there an F2 death? One of Gasly's buddies. I feel like I saw something on that on one of the pre race events last year.

It wasn't that long ago that the F2 or F3 guy got t-boned and killed at Spa, was it?

Anthoine Hubert, 2019.
