With just one race left, Pitt Road and VABuckeye seem pretty safe at the top, but there really is a lot of movement that can happen in the WDC still, and a little movement can happen in the WCC, so the TDPC podium is not set yet!

Thanks for taking care of this! It's a lot of work and I very much appreciate the effort!

Thanks again, this is aways fun.

Just looking over the predictions, looks like billjammin, mississippilebowski, nfamouspanda, pittroad, and vabuckeye were the only ones to predict Checco finishing 7th or worse. Pretty good calls on their part.

I'm doing good but that was my biggest mistake, thinking Checco was competent enough to drive a fast car fast.

Their article just says that Marko and Horner will meet with Checo after Abu Dhabi to try to convince him to move to a Red Bull ambassadorial role. If the money's right Checo might go for it but, as you pointed out, being shameless has its advantages. This is like a Seinfeld episode.

Can't believe Horner is still dancing around the Checo situation.... 0 balls

They should have cut his arse after last season and underperforming so bad. Then they go and re-sign him in June.

Now Horner is trying to get Perez to pull the rip cord instead of him having to fire him.

Didn't realize Horndog was such a puss.

So is this weekend effectively a 1 race try out for Jack Doohan. He has a contract for next year, but Alpine have not been known for caring about their drivers. Also been some talk of Alpine trying to sign Colapinto. Kinda seems like if this weekend doesn’t go well Doohan might not be in the seat next year.

Doohan was set to have his Grand Prix debut at his home race in Australia. Now it’s in Abu Dhabi with one week to prepare.

Colapinto's 2025 seat is on life support from his recent string of demolition derby drives, per this tweet

Why is RB so hesitant to let go off Checco? I'm not a decades long F1 fan bu it seems like they've never really been shy about getting rid of sub par drivers. Is Checco really bringing in that much outside money for them?

Yes he is and I'm sure its about riding that line of pissing him off and losing the sponsorships. They are probably as dumbfounded as all of us that checo doesn't see the issue.

If he is bringing in more money than he is costing them then I can kinda understand it.

Finishing third in the constructors championship gives them more wind tunnel time for the 26 car, I can understand them wanting that.

I don’t understand how Checo can walk in to the factory where 1,000+ people work knowing he is the sole reason they arnt getting their end of year bonuses tho. Would be selfish on his part to even risk that happening again next year.

The man feels no guilt because he blames everyone else.

At some point, Red Bull has to weigh bonuses/team morale and wind tunnel time. Wind tunnel time doesn't help if you're losing talent to other teams that may pay more.

Contract clause I would imagine. If they publically can or demote he probably has an out.

RBR banked on their car being so great Max could wrap up the WDC and Checo could kick it into 3rd or 5th for the WCC.

Realistically next year RBR need a dominate car or they won't sniff WDC/WCC with Checo. No team realistically challenged until almost week 10 and then everyone took points off each other as each team found their car.

Checo will be dumped for Lawson next season. Whether it’s a retirement or he’s fired, he won’t have the 2nd seat. Probably should have been done over summer break, but for whatever reason Christian and the board were deluded he could turn it around.

Red Bull is too cutthroat to let this go on another season.

Wonder how much he brings in in sponsorships, because he lost them 20m in constructors winnings this year, along with his contract money.
