BREAKING: The Investigation into Christian Horner is understood to have now been completed and a decision is expected to be made and communicated on either Tuesday or Wednesday. The report, which is thought to run well over 100 pages, is now in the hands of the Red Bull GmbH board, who will decide whether Horner remains in his position of both team principal and chief executive.

Would be shocked if he was removed during race week.

That 13 hour practice session will be brutal on the drivers!

I don't mind Danica either.

I hope Liam Lawson is the next new driver to get a seat. I'd forgotten how impressive he was.

It's tough for me to rank the drivers but here is how I see the WCC shaking down:
1. Red Bull
2. Ferrari
3. McLaren
4. Mercedes
5. Aston Martin
6. VCARB
7. Alpine
8. Williams
9. HAAS
10. Kick Sauber

Can't see them firing 2 days before official start of season... of course, they got what they needed out of him to this point. The car is primed and ready to go.

I'm gonna guess he'll be with V-CARB when DR is inevitably pulled up to Red Bull to replace Sergio.

Also, I'm over Tsunoda. He needs to shite or get off the pot like Sergio. The only value he has served is for laughs on DTS.

Read Ford is pissed with Horner situation and demanding an update.

Guess rethinking their partnership if Horner gone

We’re less than 48hrs away from FP1. Would he insane to pull him now.

That RB is rocketship. They could probably easily win the constructors without any team principal this year as long as Max is healthy and the car is reliable.

I agree. If there was a smoking gun they would have acted by now.

That was a great read thanks for posting it.

One part stuck out (of many great parts)

quote:

Whatever the VF-24 is capable of in the short-term, Komatsu made damn well sure Haas devoted as much time as possible to squeeze the most from it in testing. That led to the team completing more long runs and more laps than any other last week. By the end of the three days of running,

Komatsu was borderline satisfied that progress had been made in the team’s key area. The severity of the Sakhir track was a good reference to “expose our weaknesses”, he said. And the VF-24 seemed to stand up quite well.

The early indication is the car is performing more predictably and consistently aerodynamically. This is giving the drivers more confidence and more control over tyre management, as the aero stalls that the car seemed to suffer from at the rear are not being replicated now.

Of course all teams claimed better tire deg, so it remains to be seen. And all teams are more hyped at start of every year.

But he seems to have taken the right approach. If he can move them up to 7/8 team range then perhaps HAAS will see the positive trajectory and put more money into ops. I think with GS, Gene didn’t feel like spending money just to spend it. And with the change, if good - maybe that helps.

Gene is under no illusions as far as competing for championships but would be very happy finishing 5 thru 7 in the constructors in my opinion.

Not sure that is likely, but I do think it is attainable.

Hell, the difference between 8th and 10th is $20 million apparently. Besides the fact it sucks being last that alone is enough to piss a guy off as it's more money out of his pocket.

And I agree on Steiner. After the poor performances of the team and his distractions away from the team I don't see how anyone could have found a reason to keep him on.

The article mentions that he was basically pulled in all directions within the team but ignores his outside commitments. ie; Book tour, talk of a TV show, etc.

The team has/will have a different structure with Komatsu as TP but someone else in charge of the business end of the team. Steiner kept all of that to himself.
