I think they tried to wait and see if Jenny Gow would be able to recover from her stroke. Probably gave her spot to Claire for the time being.

She won one Indy race in Japan because of fuel strategy. Never won in Nascar. She’s not a legend, she’s a female and in this day and age that’s the draw not her racing career.

Being famous and being a racing legend are not the same thing.
A racing legend is someone who you remember 20 years after they retire, because of some epic performance(s) you'll never forget.
Danica has zero on-track feats that people talk about. In 20 years she'll just be another Lyn St. James, remembered as a woman who drove in the Indy 500. (I say this because I don't think she's a good enough broadcaster to stick around in this business and maintain visibility.)

I’ll give you this, but we’re arguing semantics. Saying she’s one of the most famous motorsport drivers ever would I guess be more accurate. In any case, her inclusion in F1 broadcasts has been harmless.
