Unlimited funds from Stroll, Honda engine relationship and the best aero from Newey is a formidable package.
And this would be much easier for me as a max fan to accept than merc.

Booked Vegas flights and hotels. Anyone go last yr? Interested in feedback on atmosphere in general and how GA is or a bar near the track rather than Grandstand seats. Been 6 years since I was at a race but went to Singapore and Austin in 2018.

Are they going to announce that Danny is done at the end of this season? He would be completely out since Hadjar is likely to be the reserve driver, especially if he wins F2 and gets kicked out. Danny will have a few races to do his farewell tour. I don't think any team is interested in him.
Mexico isn't until the end of October, I don't think they would announce that Checo is out until after that race.
Will they loan Liam to another team for a year? I think Sauber would be the only possibility, and I guess Audi might want to do this to keep the seat open for 2026, and try to land someone big.
I think if one guy is getting the boot, it should be Checo. But it could just as easily be Danny. If Red Bull behaves rationally (without behind-the-scenes factors weighing in), I think they should both get fired, Yuki goes to Red Bull, and Liam and Isack make up the junior team. Liam has just enough F1 experience that I think they could/would risk two newbies at VCARB. This way Yuki gets a chance to show something, and Red Bull would have two juniors gaining experience and competing for the 2nd Red Bull seat if Yuki doesn't measure up.
Edit: Whoops, apparently Marko said that they will not loan Liam out to other teams. So it's gotta be Danny or Checo.

Makes the most sense from a pure performance perspective.

I get that they don't want a shitload of cars torn up, but other than that, is it really a risk? Seems like the point of the team's existence and the best way to use it. Some of Marko's recent comments about the shareholders wanting to get back to using the team that way makes me think this scenario might actually happen.
As for Yuki, if not next year then when? I don't see the downside.

I was at Vegas last year. Be prepared to walk. A lot.
We stayed at the Paris and had turn 1 tickets but still walked a forever. It was overall a fantastic experience.
Heads up: Food will be cold. Drink lines can get stacked.

Just just absolutely cracks me up that FIA rejects Andretti stating they wouldn't be competitive and Marco is out here publicly stating, clearly and literally, that VCARB is a junior developmental team.
Andretti needs to include FIA's tolerance of this in his lawsuit.

You’ll be fine. We expected to walk just not 10-14 miles a day.

Just saw a clip around Carlos Slim and his influence on the Checo saga... Apparently, he greenlit a docuseries on Checo and the 2023 season (why, you've got me there) that is supposed to release soon.
Conspiracy is he basically told RB you will not pull him out of the car, as it would look terrible for the driver the series is on to be out of work right before it premiers.

Hard to believe Checo is a national hero down there. That said I will definitely try to watch this series.

Don't know what there is to watch, from what I've seen its around the 2023 season.
I'm assuming they are trying to do a DTS type thing around just him, but he plain sucks.
Have as much interst watching that as a docuseries around Stroll, Yuki, Sergeant, etc...

If you're trying to glorify your boy Checo, the 2023 season is the one to do it. Red Bull finished 1-2 in the WDC for the first time, so he did his job and it's a year for him and his fans to celebrate. Checo had two wins and nine total podiums, so there is plenty of footage that will make him look good.
I took a look at last year, and here is his record:
Sergio Perez 2023 (22 races)
Wins 2
P2 4
P3 3
P4 5
P5 1
P6 2
P7 0
P8 1
P9 0
P10 1
Out of the points 3
He finished out of the points only three times, and the majority of his finishes were P4 or higher. He had a perfectly fine year for a #2 driver.
Given that Max had 21 podiums in 22 races, with a P5 at Singapore his only blemish, yes we have the perspective that the car was very dominant and reliable. While no one expected Checo to ever beat Max on track, he should have podiumed every race in that car, so those five P4 finishes are the biggest sign of his underperformance. (Without looking at each race, the results lower than that could be for a variety of issues that inflict just about every driver.) But a friendly documentary can so easily paint this as a glorious year for the Mexican "hero".
