LOL…

What could have caused that? Seems off by a lot of weight.

I had Russell to finish on podium. If they take that back…

I lost a similar bet with Denny Hamlin a year or two ago, the first nascar post race disqual since the 80s or something.

Motorsport betting has been so cruel to me

Osama took a dump before the race and didn't tell his engineer.

Maybe, but Hamilton had a lot more DRS, so maybe he didn't burn as much fuel.

That doesn’t matter because they weighed the cars without fuel. I’m guessing going 35 laps on those tires led to more degrading (would only need .3-.4 kg per tire to get that) and they don’t have a cooldown lap at spa so he couldn’t pick rubber up.

I believe those tires weigh between 20-25 pounds. Losing two pounds of tread seems reasonable.

That's gotta be tough for old Ichabod, it's fair considering he got gifted a win when Max and Lando took themselves a month ago.

If they put Ham tires on Rus car and weighed it, that would tell the tale.

Doesn't sound like a tire issue. Seems like somehow they started a car that was underweight.

Two pounds more than anyone else? Also didn’t AM run a 1 stopper?

Well as a team, suffering the blow of a winner being disqualified, and yet still winning the race, that's not bad.

Last 6 races ricciardo leads yuki 4-2.

Typical Danny fan analysis. It's as if all the results don't count. Why is your time box the last 6 races? Oh because it fits your narrative perfectly? If you go back 7 races that's another win for Yuki. If you go back 8 races that's another win for Yuki. If you go back 9 races, that's another win for Yuki.

If it's performance in the most recent races, well in the last three races Yuki is ahead 2-1. Why isn't that a good time box?

quote:

yuki was handed ricciardos spot last week with a stupid strategy call.
When they were on their last stint of 30 laps ricciardo was .3 sec faster per lap.

Yes, all Danny fans were pointing this out last week, and it's an amateur analysis. If you want to go back and listen to Yuki's radio after his last pit stop, his engineer told him to push on the out lap, then immediately told him to go into tire management. At that point the Aston Martins hadn't pitted yet, but they knew that Yuki would be in P9, and then Yuki would have to fend off the Aston Martins at the end of the race. Yuki was in the points (and in the maximum position he could be), so his job was to preserve his tires and hold position, and he ran his race to perfection.

Danny was handed a raw deal by his team, and he was out of the points, so of course he was pushing, to position himself the best he could if there was any misfortune ahead.

There's no way to make a direct comparison between them in Hungary. Yuki ran a great race. His consistent lap times after the guys around him did their first pit stop gave the team the confidence to switch his strategy and go for a one-stopper (Yuki said a one-stopper wasn't even discussed before the race). If they didn't switch, he would have finished behind the Aston Martins and out of the points. Danny's strategy was botched by his team and he did the best he could.

Any one race can be dissected to point out how the circumstances make a direct comparison difficult. That's why it's best to have a large number of races to compare, to presumably even out the random misfortunes, and see who delivers more consistently. And over 21 races as teammates, there is a clear difference.

That’s a tough way to go into the break for Osama.

Fantastic race

What a race for RUS - unbelievable and well deserved win!

Spa is the best

We have three (3) teams at the top of the grid that can win races.

F1 is back
