Probably wanted to make sure he was going to get the seat before they resigned Carlos. Both drivers came out saying they have known for the last few weeks. Confirm Charles, then tell him Lewis is coming

Seems weird that 2024 will start with every driver in the same seat as 2023 finished while already knowing that 2025 will be full on musical chairs.
