Are you contrarian when talking to yourself?
Can you name one mainstream endorsement he has?
A Fortune 500 or subsidiary? If he spoke English, could we agree that his endorsement value would likely double?
LMAO

Very myopic of you to not include the Japanese market as mainstream.

Your O/U on actual true friends in the world is currently set at 1 and trending downward
What a frickstick! LOL
Trout doesn’t play in Japan, and what is their market in comparison to the US?
So I guess if Sumo wrestling was a global sport and Trout was the top Sumo wrestler, and Japan had a population to rival the US, I would advise him to fricking learn Japanese

I don't see Mike Trout or Aaron Judge on a lot of commercials here. MLB is a regional thing. Ohtani is a national hero over there. He's Michael Jordan, but Japanese

It was wild seeing Japan's group stage in the Tokyo Dome where there was a big arse billboard with Shohei's face on it and every fan was wearing shirts with his face on it.
The craziest thing though was when he hit his first home run of the WBC, the fan who caught the ball passed it around in an orderly fashion to other people in the stands so they could take a pic with the history they were holding. It was so bizarre and quite nice because, in America, some a-hole would run off with it.
Trust me though, Shohei is perfectly fine speaking broken english and through an interpreter.

Amazing!
Runner from first was on third when the outfielder got the ball and he made it home easily. Mexico got that ball in pretty fast. I know he was a pinch runner and the fastest in NPB but that was crazy, he must have never hesitated.

LMAO
I think it's a cultural thing, if they can't do it flawlessly they won't do it.

Japan vs Orix Buffalos was watched by 36 million people in Japan
Japan vs Korea 55+ million
Japan vs Italy 62.5 million
Most watched World Series game: 54.5 million in 1980
Good chance USA vs JAPAN is the most watched baseball game of all time

How boring this whole discussion is, after one of the greatest baseball games of all time.
I will feel cheated if we don’t get a video focused on the pinch runner.

Facebook link! Stays on the CF camera, you can see him tracking the ball around second then turning on the jets.
