I remember someone saying on here not even a month ago that Larson was "overrated" and had probably had peaked out.

Nascar mad and already trying to get back at Hendrick, pretty obvious with the R&D picks.

Tech complete in the Cup garage. No issues. Larson is the winner. ... Byron and Bowman cars to R&D center.

I was distracted by LSU women's basketball, White Sox baseball, and the food on my grill this afternoon, so I missed the race, but recorded it. Worth watching at all?

I didn’t personally find it exciting. Most of the drama involved pit road issues for various contenders like Hamlin that took them out of contention.

Not much excitement with Richmond this go round. Hoping Martinsville is better. The dirt gimmick at Bristol doesn’t do it for me.

HMS cars are going to keep routinely getting picked randomly for R&D.

I bet HMS found some juice like SHR did a couple years ago, and its either legal and everyone else eventually will find it too or its illegal and once its found their cars will drop off a cliff like SHR did for a while

SHR decline is because of driver selection. Other than Harvick - and he’s long in the tooth driver age wise. I don’t think it was SHR being so juiced and found, rather they had better drivers then. And any secret gets out in time too.

HMS has a great stable of drivers right now. And a great shop with great people working behind the scenes. Thats why they are top dogs.

Gibbs comes and goes.

SHR needs some better drivers and after Harvick retires they are in trouble

Chase in 2 races has more points than Ty Dillon in 7 races. And that superstar TV and Nascar keep putting in promos is in 22nd averaging a whopping 16.86 points per race.

Further proof that today’s nascar is 90% cars and 10% drivers.

I don't know that I'd go that far. Berry is a late model champion and has the skills and experience to be competitive at the short tracks. He also got a big boost from pit strategy working in his favor when he stayed out and the yellow flew. Before that call he was running in the low 20's high teens I believe.

Not saying he’s not talented. They all are. But the equipment is what wins.
Larson won a zillion races in 2021. Not many last year.
He didn’t get worse as a driver.
