How do you explain Reddick and Bubba then? Harvick and the other 3?
Are you saying Reddick is getting the best cars out of that shop? Heck, MJ was even at the race this weekend and Reddick was the better driver by far - so they gave Bubba a bad car with the boss sitting on his pit box?
I do agree cars matter they always have. F1 is way more car than Nascar though.

I think it's more 65 car/35 driver.

SHR decline is because of driver selection. Other than Harvick - and he’s long in the tooth driver age wise. I don’t think it was SHR being so juiced and found, rather they had better drivers then. And any secret gets out in time too.
Rodney Childers literally said that NASCAR found something on their car, made them stop using it, and they couldn't find speed for a while after that

Not that I don’t believe you but can you provide a link to that? And are you saying they found something but never fined them?

He either said it on twitter or on a podcast, its been 2 or 3 years so I can't remember and I'm not gonna go dig for it

I remember the interview. It was on SiriusXM's Morning Drive show. It was the penalty Harvick got popped for at Dega in 2020. That team won everything that year (9 races?) and after that, they just didn't have the speed. Always thought it cost them the championship that year. Moral of the story: don't cheat.

Doesn’t apply to Hendrick though

Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson (takes office in May) has said contracts would be reviewed. NASCAR contract with Chicago parks department requires 180-day termination notice from city so unlikely any impact on 2023 street race unless they want a legal battle. TBD future yrs.

Make Bristol Great Again. Why not use an existing dirt track and reward those tracks? Bristol used to be awesome. Then they ruined it. Now they just cover it with dirt

If they want a dirt race add Knoxville to the cup schedule or Eldora.

When Nascar gets the bill from the city they'll be rushing to get a date back at Road America.

The new mayor will make old mayor look conservative. Can only imagine what kind of woke stuff that pre race will have as ordered by new mayor. Why would Nascar go to Chicago, trying to chase woke dollars when wokesters have no desire for the sport.

Hamlins 25 point penalty has been upheld as well as the 50K fine.
