Any comments on the speculation that Bristol will lose its spring date and North Wilksboro will take that race and become a points race.

First time I've seen this.

He now has the wisdom of age. And he has an awful lot of it.

Was just looking at the Cup schedule and realized that the night race at Atlanta in a few weeks is not on Saturday night, but on Sunday night.

So stupid. I guess Saturday night races are being phased out by NASCAR.

Beyond stupid.
I’d get home at 2 in the morning on a work night.
Only thing that does make sense is that is the end of the July 4th week. If they let that race out at say 5PM I-75 north would be an even bigger shitshow than normal.

Yeah I noticed majority of night races are Sunday nights with people having to work the next day.

Agree that Sunday night races aren’t the best idea.
In regards to the Bristol dirt race going away I’m kinda glad. It was a gimmick that isn’t drawing the fans like they thought it would. I like the idea of NW getting a race but after the all star race I’m not sure that track can put on a good race with these cars.

Absolutely hate them.

On another note, does anyone have any rec's for places to eat, etc around Nashville Superspeedway? Hoping to avoid having to go into Nashville if I can help it other than on Saturday night after the Xfinity race, or Sunday morning before the Cup race.

They stopped Sat nights because it was killing the short track racing crowds.

I read they are experimenting with Sun night “summer” races to see how ratings do but also to help fan experience due to summer daytime heat. Its cooler for fans.

I see both sides.

I don't mind it from the standpoint that you won't be in the sun/heat of the day. The downside is the late finish, especially for those that live on the other side of the city like you do.

But then again, I only live 15 mins.from AMS.

Josh Harris, new owner of the Washington Commanders, is buying a stake in Joe Gibbs Racing.
