One thing that really stood out to me after watching this last season of DTS is a lot, if not most, of the drivers are pretty likeable guys. May be an unpopular opinion but I was sort of surprised how most of them, despite their on track whining, seem like good guys that would be fun to hang out with.
I’m actually trying to think of one who came off bad and I’m drawing a blank.

you can justify it in your head if you do the math that its still 50% of the cost to buy a shite box to autocross, or at least that's how it phrased it to my wife.

Ferrari knows it isn't a penalty to take a new PU.
Saudi is a high speed track where a new PU will give them an advantage.
