I'm really curious about the Mercedes upgrades, that team seems toxic as hell right now, so much for the "no blame culture". I want to see if the upgrades are a continuation of their current concept or if they just scrap it, and the season, and use 2023 to focus on development of the 2024 car, likely with sidepods.

Reeks of the Baghdad Bob of F1... Coordinated effort last week to tamper expectations, "we're not going to be good", blah blah blah.
Have a feeling they will be strongly competing with Ferrari for #2 this year.

Then brought out a ludicrous speed, party mode rocket engine the last four races.

Not bad, what game are you running on there? EA F1?

Max could be vomming in every turn and still win comfortably this week.

iRacing.
I hate the F1 game. Once you play iRacing you don't go back
1) It's very "arcade" ish and just doesn't feel as crisp
2) There is no safety rating type system so people are fricking reckless on track
3) Iracing has laser scanned tracks, the force feedback is so much better
4) you can race everythign from stockcars to endurance, to F1 in iracing
iRacing is sick because ive literally been in races with professional drivers. Haven't gotten an F1 driver but have had F2 and F3 drivers. Max plays all the time, hell he was on this past weekend.

All of that is true, but you can also spend as much on iRacing as you do on your rig
That's one thing that has kept me away from it. I already have enough things taking money out of my wallet. Don't need another addiction.
I play a lot of Assetto Corsa and Dirt 2.0.

true, but you get what you pay for.
100 a year for subscription, plus maybe a hundred on car and tracks at first, but if you stick to one or maybe two series at a time, there isn't much new stuff. You can go broke buying every car they have, but if you wan to do F1, you can do it reasonably. The racing quality is just so good.
AC is great but managing the mods is a fricking nightmare

That setup is awesome. How many hours do you put in a week?
If I'm trying to do an official race, probably 4-6 hours. 2-3 hours of practice depending on if i know the track, then usually eats up an hour per race. I take it pretty seriously and use telemetry software(see below) to improve breaking points, racing line, throttle etc. so it just depends how much I'm trying to improve/how familiar i am with the track. Building up track knowledge is a huge part and just takes times. I can tell you the gear shifts and turns of most of the F1 tracks now![]()
I’ve heard max plays iracing a shite load.
He does, its very transparent so you have to use your real name as your screen name, he practices under his dad to keep his iracing up on his main account. But you can sort by region/country so all you have to do is go to Monaco too see all the main guys
I think I might be able to put something in my garage or shed (AC/power/Ethernet)
You have to be hardwired to race, too much lag/getting dropped on wifi
Have you always had the 3 monitors? I would probably just do the one large tv in front. Do the monitor make a difference?
I used to have one monitor, but for hitting your apex and for getting a "sense of speed"(having the screen moving in your peripheral) it really helps to have triples. You have to use all your other senses since you can't feel g's when simming so i've found it really helps. I also have VR, but it makes me sick, but it looks and feels insane, you will giggle the first few times you do it.

I feel TD would appreciate his humor, it’s still wild to me that he was approached to be involved in the WTF1 takeover and had to tell them no. He doesn’t seem PC enough
