F1 logistics are insane. The F1 Explains pod did an episode on all the travel stuff a few weeks ago, really interesting if you get a chance.

I think checo is secure, but if he starts messing up next year, I could see a mid season change.

Toro Rosso was awesome, especially when they hand painted the bulls on the cars.

I dunno... Ferrari, Mclaren, and especially Merc have started to show progress closing the gap.

Although I don't see them catching the Drivers Championship, but if the others can consistently come in 2-4 when Checo implodes over and over again, I can see RB not winning constructors.

My pipe dream for the last year, even before the recent rumors, were for Alonso to be in the RB... I want it sooo bad.

Strikes me for a company like Oracle it's not the best avenue.

Oracle sponsors a lot of racing/sports stuff that doesn't seem to make a ton of sense. But Larry Ellison is rich AF so whatever. Americas cup, F1, stunt planes, etc.

My only concern is that Red Bull didn't really bring an upgrade this year. They just raced last years car before upgrading to the car they had brought to pre-season testing sometime around Monaco.

One wealthy exec in a decision making role might choose oracle because of the sponsorship. Arguably, a single 5 year deal with a midsize business and a company like oracle could be worth more than a bunch of “normies” buying a product like a speaker one time.

I see it.

I started watching this year, so what am I missing? Perez has clinchedsecond in driver points. What more are they looking for in dumping him? Do they think they are going to find someone who can do better than that not named Max Verstappen?

Is it worth paying more for a driver to finish 10 sec9nds behind Max everywhere instead of 17 seconds?

They want someone who is going to help keep others away from the top.

I think it’s silly as the only way he can finish better is to beat max, but it’s not my call.

I suspect Checo stays too. Just a hunch. Not much else you can ask of him aside from qualify better and don’t wreck as much. He brings a lot of sponsor dollars and North American eyeballs

With Checo it's inconsistency and dumb mistakes from week to week. What Checo you're getting this week is an unknown and I like Checco.

RBR assumes the other teams will be closer next year, so they want a stronger second driver. Yes he’s second in the drivers standings, but he’s getting absolutely destroyed by his teammate.

Danny was the closest teammate max had. It’s no coincidence he has the AT seat. If AT was truly the young driver team, then Liam would be there instead.

Max has double the points of the next best non RB car, but Perez is only 41 points above that same car.

If other cars improve and/or Checo continues to get worse, 2nd place is in danger.

Nobody gives a shite about 2nd, its all about the constructors.

Here are the points since the British gp when both Mclaren drivers had upgrades
Even when you add the top driver from Mclaren,Mercedes and Ferrari they still fall short of Red Bull.

Verstappen 320
Norris 171
Hamilton 126
Perez 125
Leclerc 116
Sainz 115
Russell 88
Piastri 84
Alonso 69

Red Bull 445
Mclaren 255
Ferrari 231
Mercedes 214
Aston Martin 98
Alpine 73

Since the Mclaren b spec upgrade at Singapore

Verstappen 185
Norris 116
Sainz 80
Leclerc 77
Hamilton 68
Perez 54
Piastri 53
Russell 51
Alonso 30

Red Bull 239
Mclaren 169
Ferrari 157
Mercedes 119
Aston Martin 56
Alpine 47

Perez is driving at the level of a rookie who hasn't driven on these race tracks before.
If he has a job next year he can thank Max.

The people saying Perez is good enough are assuming RB maintains it's vast superiority next year.

The likelihood of Max winning 15+ races next year is rather remote. And Perez dicking around back in the midfield will leave the constructors up for grabs.

Exactly... RBR captured lightening in a bottle this year for Max. The other teams have started to get in line and get more competetive and if Max falls back slightly, Perez isnt going to be able to carry the water for the constructors.

Fun tit for tat this morning. Rumors Hamilton was caught sliding into RBR's DMs about next year.

He, of course, is denying it. Really makes me wonder how much Hamilton could push Max in a RB car though.

Just saw Hamilton saying he has t spoken to Christian in years… report says he’s the one that said Hamilton reached out.

Would be odd for Christian to say unless true.
