Yep. Williams is fast on straights and usually performs well at the Temple of Speed.

He is 138 points clear of checo currently

If he’s 151 clear before Qatar, he has it

If he’s ahead by 176 before Japan he clinches.

If he wins Monza and Singapore, and checo doesn't get a combined 13 points between the two, max clinches

I am sure Honda can think of no one better to work with than Alonso. I am sure they are giddy at the idea.

Palou is a moron if he is waiting 3 years to have a sniff at replacing the boss's son.

They have a car built for this track. Albon might get lucky with a few retirements and be back in the points.

I can easily see him qualifying top 7. So unless he retires, he's getting points. Because we know he isn't getting passed.

When it comes to Alonso, there were times in the past where we did have difficulty, that is true," said Koji Watanabe, Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) president in a roundtable with U.S. media. "However, since then we have teamed up with Red Bull and we were able to clinch the World Championship title. We do recognize that Alonso is a very outstanding driver, and as for Honda, we respect him, and of course, it's up to the team to decide the drivers, but should he be selected, we will welcome him."

Alonso may still be around when Honda makes it to Aston, but if they have an optipn they are putting a Japanese driver in seat like they have done every time they have been given a chance.

Enzo and wife, played by an American and a Spaniard. Enzo was a jerk. We'll see how they choose to portray him.

And every time, it was a clear #2 driver, so the question is still who is going to be Honda's #1 driver in 2026. If Alonso is still driving at a high level like today, Honda won't hesitate to have him as their #1 driver, although at his age they will surely be looking out for a young #1 to sign. No way they will consider Yuki a #1 driver unless something drastic and unexpected happens between now and then (i.e., Yuki goes to Red Bull next year and shocks everyone by staying close to Max ). Also, no way Honda makes a deal with Papa Stroll unless he agreed that Baby Stroll would be gone by 2026. He had to convince them that he is serious about championships. So we're definitely talking about both seats in 2026.

That Alfa is so sharp, I hate when we get special liveries that are significantly better than teams normal liveries. Why don't they just always run the cool shite?

If AR was as good at putting out a fast car as they are with putting out a fire car design, they'd be competing for a championship. Man they have some good looking cars.

His other options for challengers would be limited.

Mclaren (and Williams) will be a customer team until Merc leaves or they build their own engines. Ferrari is a shitshow at best for the near future. Red Bull is full.

Next regs are leaning towards engine regs. Stay with Merc and hope for the best, maybe get a one year shot at the new regs.

I know a lot of people picked Ferrari to win the Chip this year because last year looked so strong for them, but I think all along the only team that could realistically challenge RB in the near future is Merc. It would make no sense for him to leave for anywhere else. Simply looking at it from a competitive standpoint, not money factored in.

I mean, after the shitbox last year, they have surprised and might get there. But its hard to imagine as dominant as RB is that they would beat them in a full season.

I wish AM could find that extra little bit for Alonso.

And I thought Ham would go to Ferrari to close his career, but thats a fricking clown show even with the head clown from the last few years out.

Drugovich in the car again for FP1.

Surprised that hasn't gotten more pushback from the Euro F1 community.
