i wanted lawson to get the seat, but that car is arse and needs a set of veteran hands. danny ricc is probably the perfect caretaker for the rest of the year.

but helmut also needs to look in the mirror. he is in charge of the RBR junior program and it's not really producing.

Palou isn't even in the Red Bull program. Not saying he won't be signed, but they have Lawson ahead of Palou to think about.

Lawson may technically be "ahead" of RIC.

Right, I totally forgot about Lawson for a moment. I like Lawson a lot and I prefer that he gets preference over Ricciardo. I was hoping he gets an AT seat next year.

I'm calling Hulk to Perez's seat next year.

*He currently leads the Mex 6-4 in qualifying. In the Haas.

The fact that De Vries at 28 is older than the majority of drivers probably isn't working in his favor.

He came off as such a little shite on DTS as well. If you’re going to act like that, you best not suck.

I missed the race, what did it do for them? Did the drivers on soft tires end up falling back? Did it offset degradation issues they had?

Pretty much. Hamilton had a couple shots, but had to fall back after a couple laps.

There was little difference in the three compounds this weekend. Think Russell took the softs near 30 laps with little fall off in track times.

Danny Ric getting real seat time in the current car...

Ricciardo is now due to get his first run in Red Bull’s 2023 F1 car at Silverstone this week as part of the post-British Grand Prix Pirelli test. And, if he impresses the squad there, it could boost his chances of it electing to put him back in a race seat in 2024.

I'm not defending Checo even though he did have some shite luck on Saturday but is Danny really better than him at this stage of his career? Good enough to give him the seat for next year?

He did finish a little stronger but there was a lot of turmoil around Danny's performance last year and that's why he's a reserve now.

I’d prefer Yuki. Or if McLaren returns their usual form, Lando.

There is no reason to think he is any better. People liking ricciardo’s personality apparently makes them blind to how completely abysmal he was at mclaren the previous 2 years.
