His Ottawa Senator ownership bid fell through, so he buys a quarter of Alpine. Nice

Anyone have the F1 tv app? Which version do you have the $27/year or the $80/year?
I have the $80 and love it. Not sure what the $27 includes, but the $80 gives you everything every race weekend, onboard cams, telemetry. Plus documentaries, analysts shows, and just about every old race you’d ever want to watch. It’s an easy purchase for me.

His investment firm is part of the deal. Rob McElhenney and Michael B. Jordan are also backers of that firm.

To add to that, you can download Multiviewer and you can have tons of information at your fingertips for races. I can run the main feed plus a very detailed timing chart, track map, and any onboard I want. You can watch all the stuff the main feed misses.

It's pretty crazy what all you get for the price point. I don't think I've watched a single regular television broadcast since I got into F1.

I only have a small ish laptop, so it doesn't really make sense to do this there, as I only watch on my TV but through the F1 app on Apple TV.
That sounds awesome though.

When I had F1TV the best part was watching the classic races - it's how I learned the history of the sport...
eta: I'm a bad F1 fan now. I watch replays on the ESPN app and fast forward looking for lead changes...

Yeah, it's a game changer if you have multiple or ultrawide monitors.

Sounds like Danny is finally accepting that if he wants to get back on the F1 grid, he'll have to go back to a backmarker--no one is willing to give him a top seat.
As for AlphaTauri, I'd rather see Liam Lawson. There are just not enough seats to go around, they have to keep these types of seats open to new talent.

What is the sprint shootout this weekend?
How many laps is the sprint race?
What determines the starting grid for the sprint race? The Sprint shootout?

First, frick a sprint weekend.
100km; 24 laps.
Edited:
Qualifying on Friday sets the grid and Sunday grid.
Sprint qualifying on Saturday for Sprint race that follows

Sprint race qualifying is on Saturday. It's called the Sprint Shootout I guess to be cool but it's just qualifying for the the sprint race.
I was OK with the previous format because it essentially meant the race was broken up over two days but this jamming a mini GP into the GP weekend is complicated.
It could be exciting if there was a battle for the driver's championship though with all the extra points on tap.
