What the heck. Looks like a terrible call.

That is inexcusable to allow that after replay

Karma for that disallowed Calgary goal in game 5 maybe
So now they’re talking about delayed tag up rule that I didn’t know about bc he wasn’t directly involved in the play. Made sense when they explained it I guess ?

I have no clue how he’s not offside. I mean he had 2 skates in. I get he was coming out and not in play, but still
That rule is terrible. Offside is a cut and dry rule. Can’t be over the line

I think it makes sense by the way the explained it, but even as an Avs fan… skate wasn’t on the blue line… and it sure looked like puck was on Makar’s blade…

Every map I read designated Tampa. Not Tampa Bay.

The good thing is we’re not going frame by frame looking for on off this season

In that last replay, Makar touched it right on the blue line and didn't touch it again until the other player's skate touched the line. Delayed offsides is the right call.

I’m a bit behind. Actually, by how they explained it (and the final replay they showed), it’s a good call.
Delayed offsides. It’s only offsides if Makar touches the puck in the offensive zone before Nichushkin gets back.
Pretty clear that wasn’t the case.
Lucky for the Avs, but right call.

Shouldn’t matter puck in the zone after player in the zone offside
It’s a terrible call

Makar clearly had possession in the nz

But the puck was in the zone before it was cleared by Colorado. Offside used to be cut and dry just like how the 2 line pass was. Now they’ve tinkered with it for offense. It’s a terrible rule and call
He was in before the puck I get the reasoning I just think it’s a terrible application of the rule and call

Okay, that’s your opinion, but the call was correct.
It was a delayed offsides that the offensive player didn’t touch the puck while in the offensive zone before anyone else was in the offensive zone. Pretty clear call, and the right one.
Weird to say this, but good on Toronto

The other view (the last one the broadcast showed) clearly showed that Toronto got it right. You’re dense or overly opinionated otherwise.
Agree or disagree with the rule. The rule was applied.
