Had to run by the hospital during the race. Just got back home. Sounds amazing. Going to watch this afternoon.

Honda has "officially left the sport" but will continue to supply the team with engines through 2025 according to Wikapedia.

Now ya know.
red bull powertrains was formed last year to take over the power unit development from Honda for 2022 onward

RB power trains does the manufacturing, but i believe they are still using the Honda design.

They are also providing technical support through 2025 when the new regs come into effect. But RB builds the engines

Max restart was a masterclass. I’ve never seen a pass like that within a few meters of the start/finish.

Max was side by side with Ham at the start…. What if Ham let off the gas and allowed Max to cross start line before him? Penalty or just max having to give the spot back and re-take?

Post-race Potter "the mechanics were not ready." How the frick can you tolerate this shite 15 races into the season? Hopefully after the inevitable meltdown at Monza this clown will go on garden leave. Ferrari have had the most competitive car since sebs oil burning engine in 2019 and they have thrown it all away every race in every way imaginable and some ways no one could possibly have imagined

I thought about that as they were reviewing post race show. If it was a 5 sec penalty would have been an epic push by max to get 5 seconds ahead (likely could have with 12 to go) or give the position back and take P1 in the same spot next lap. His RB was a laser down the pit straight. In the first few laps he was still gaining on LEC on the straight with no draft. Unreal how well RB has developed this car compared to the others.

I honestly thought he jumped the gun initially… threaded the needle

Didn’t see anything out of Ham after the race. Did he comment on Merc fricking him again?

Helmut full of good info today, says the Porsche deal is off, RB team value has increased since negotiations began.

Where does Porsche go?

he walked back the radio message saying he just kinda lost it emotionally in the moment. He's usually pretty level headed after everything calms down

In the moment his frustration was certainly understandable. But he had a poor restart allowing max to pass him immediately, and then was easily passed by leclerc.

In hindsight, as someone else said Russell staying out would’ve much more likely resulted in a 3,4 finish than a Hamilton win. Russell ended up making the right call for himself and the team. The best call for Hamilton would’ve been a pit for softs to secure 2nd place, but that’s basically an impossible choice to make for them in that situation.

In the end, any chance Mercedes had of winning the race disappeared with alpha tauri’s bullshite that negated their pit stop advantage. It’s much easier to see that after the race when you have all the information.

Had to record the race and just got finished. Red Bull continues to prove they are on a different level strategy wise than anyone else. Lots of chaos towards the end but they made the calls to win.

Biggest surprise to me is that the RB is clearly faster than the Ferrari now. They don’t need the weekly Ferrari blunder (which never ceases to amaze me), they have the faster car.

I would have liked to see max charging after the mercs with their 50+ lap tires but we were robbed of that by some AT frickery. I think max probably runs them down but it would have been an epic fight

race pace clearly. One lap i still think Ferarri is faster. But it's hard for their strategists to frick up a one lap run

Once the leader has started the run it is open game.

Max in the past gas waited until the last second to go. Which has caused a mess.

Porsche needs to buy Alphatauri!

There was talk today of AT going on the auction block.

I am sorry that's a useless team unless your RB using them to help the named primary team.

Like using them to cause two cautions in 3 laps?
