Poor showing by Danny Ric with so much uncertainty around his future with McClaren. I know he's theoretically under contract for next year but it doesn't sound ironclad and there are a few drivers being floated as a serious replacement possibility.

I read an analysis somewhere that LEC has thrown away over 100 points thus far. It really is quite an amazing thing if you think about it

I think you parked your car in the wrong thread

Unless there's a cup team actively sabotaging their own drivers, you're lost

I'm enjoying all the shitting on Ferrari. That said, it's now summer break and the official beginning of Silly Season. Let's open the discussion to predictions.

1) de Vries or Piastri to Williams and Goatifi out?
2) Danny Ric rumors galore for the next few weeks. Any teeth to them? Not sure.
3) Who gets the AM seat?

No clue what happens at seasons end… remember, Hamilton is out of contract. Does he return? I’d think so with Merc finally getting their shite together. I think it would be his choice to move from Merc.

With Ric likely out, does he choose his last season to be where he started? I’m honestly surprised he didn’t try to go to Ferrari after last season, before they signed Sainz. End his career with the iconic F1 team.

It's been 43 years since an American won a F1 race. Too long, and if F1 wants to be more than a uber rich backed Spoiled Brat sport, they're going to have to get an American into a car, whether it's Sargeant or not.

LeClerc threw away 25 points last week when he crashed and abount 10 points when he tried to overtake Checo. Ferrari strategy, grenades and pit blunders have thrown far more points away for LeClerc. His Spanish Grand Prix performance was the most dominant performance of the season until the engine blew.

Text that to a buddy during the race… even though AT is a shite box this year, he has been pretty terrible. Honestly, he wasn’t that great last year. It was mildly decent to the far extreme of terrible in every race.

Binotto says pace of the car, not strategy, was the problem.

quote:

“So today the car was not behaving well. I think that’s the point that the first time this season, [in] 13 or 12 races, the first time it’s not working as we are hoping for. We’ll try to understand the reason of [it]. “I think it was working but not as well as we were hoping or expecting for, so I think if I look at Friday at least, [and the] pace we’ve got, we had an edge, we had an advantage on the competitors, which was not the case today.”

Dude is smoking crack…. What didn’t the car have today? Had they not gone to Hards and run same strategy as Merc/RB, they likely would have won.
