I'm with you. But jumping into your team in celebration is common. Not sure why your physio being part of that is a problem.

What are they going to give them?

Weight I guess. Not sure how much they could legitimately hide with all the cameras.

When they spend hundreds of thousands to drop a pound off the cars for performance, sticking a pound or two of tungsten in the drivers uniform would be worthwhile to offset it.

I missed the first 15 or so laps so watching now.
The clouds of orange smoke the first number of laps is insane. Like a fog over the track in spots.

VR46 fans were the first I ever noticed that did that everywhere. Hope it doesn't get to the point where it affects racing

If I’m not mistwken Haas hasn’t done any upgrades yet. That should make them faster and quite a few teams have taken upgrades already. Saw a stat yesterday showing how much a team has gained or lost on pace this year and Haas was 2nd I believe.
Shame is their team cost them so many points this year on strategy calls. Then early wrecks by Mick put them behind on cars meaning they had to be careful.
Be interesting once they upgrade how they perform. Less DNF due to mechanical than Ferrari so maybe they have engine turned down a tick in comparision?

So no announcement from Porsche huh? They mentioned the head being on the grid before the race and maybe we would get an announcement from RedBull

Unfortunately updates don't always lead to improvement. Aston and Alfa have both done big updates and lost ground.
If the update works as they expect though, could be an interesting second half of the season for Haas.
Passing Alfa in the points is certainly possible.

Question for F1 Auto Experts...
When Sainz was trying to release his halo and get out of his car, was the Halo release hampered by the car still rolling?
Will the Halo system release if the car is moving?
If by chance the halo won't release with car moving this could have been a very sad ending if not for the unsung race stewards.

He kept climbing back in to hit the brake. I don't think they can put it in gear like a regular car. The electrical was probably shut down.

The halo is not removable. There is a separate piece, basically covered styrofoam, shaped like a sort of collar that the drivers remove to get out of the car. It's to cushion the drivers head in side impacts. It is just a friction fit so it wasn't preventing him from getting out.
He likely couldn't put the car in gear due to the mechanical mayhem going on in the rear, so it wanted to roll. He would have popped it into neutral when things started going south to coast it up to the access point.

That was a hell of an engine failure...
Bits of engine punching through the body work

Appreciate the clarification and understanding!
I was freaking yelling at the TV to get out the car! End of the day it's a piece of machinery that can be rebuilt! Drivers safety is paramount!
