Something about their physios interacting with them before they are weighed. Another dumbass rule i guess.
DQ all of them and give Haas the 1-2

BTW, what did the fans do that made it a need F1 to respond/react and Sky to put it on the broadcast?
Been going on all weekend, but basically the Dutch.
Saw someone on reddit describe it this way, they are very nationalistic when it comes to one of our teams or countrymen doing well. It brings out people who are there as a fan of the person and not necessarily the sport. They feed off each other.
What has been reported are typical assholes being assholes to people. Worst of the LSU fanbase if you will.

Imagine slaps on the wrist since post race and didn’t impact actual race.

Ive been searching for more info... looks like a range of debauchery and mean tweet type stuff but some things more serious than typical a-hole stuff:

inappropriate touching of female fans

Yea, the girl in the Merc garage (Merc brought her in from the crowd) allegedly had her dress lifted.
Was told she didn't deserve respect because she was a Merc fan
A Ferrari fan account was that if you were wearing Merc or British gear then you were being harassed. Ferrari fan said he likely wouldn't go back to the race because of the crowd issue.

It really bugs me that you get a whopping FIVE second penalty for taking someone out in a race. It’s just such a minor penalty.

I couldn't imagine the outrage and frickery if each incident had it's own sentence decided by a different group of stewards.

Honestly I'm certainly no merc fan but if you watch George's in car, he's at the apex and when Perez accelerates their wheels are interlocked and it's inevitable. The view from above looks like George could have turned tighter and avoided contact but the in car doesn't have that same perspective. I like Perez and it sucks but it's typic lap 1 F1

Is there seriously no way to watch the race replay? I have hulu livetv with espn+ and there's no race on it till 6pm tonight? WTF is that?
Do ya'll torrent them, or do i need to drop hulu and switch to a different tv provider?

I'm like 70/30 Russell/Checo blame. Five seconds seems fair.

I have YouTubetv and F1tv. Both have replays on demand.

Alonso escaped penalty for unsafe release. The part broke after he left the pit per the FIA.
According to the stewards Alonso didn't know he had a loose wheel

Also, the three front runners get $10k suspended fines because their physios were in parc ferme and could have given them something.
So that begs the question if we are going to allow drivers to celebrate with their teams going forward.
FIA worried about the real problems.

Were both stops under vsc? Hard to believe he pitted twice and was still in the points

Yep. VSC ended right as he got the second stop done.

They are weighed, with their gear, before the podium ceremonies. The scale usually seems to be in the cool down room as they showed Ham getting weighed there. Have also seen it right alongside the pit lane.
They can make it from the car to the cool down room without their handlers fawning over them I'm sure.
