How does the pay work in the case like you mentioned if there is a tie for first?

They will still pay the odds, but they will split the bet amount by the number of people tied at the top.
So if I'm holding Hovland round 1 leader +1100 for $10 and there are 5 tied at the top, it'll pay +1100 on $2.
