Lol, no chance in hell that is enough to land Watson

No way in hell I would give that up for Watson, or any other QB that has a chance of being moved.

I’m a Saints fan. Deshaun Watson isn’t going anywhere.

I guess PFF is still under the impression that Dimitroff is still the Falcons GM. I don't think Fontenot is trading up. If Fields is there at 4, he'll take him, but if anything he's moving down.

I’m not gonna say Lock is good... but his WRs dropped the most passes this last year iirc. And yeah I know that’s factored into PFF’s analysis which had him as the worst starting QB this last year. I’m just saying he might’ve had better games if his guys didn’t drop everything.

I’d totally love Watson at whatever the cost but I’m not against Lock being the starter next year if Watson truly isn’t available. We’ll have Sutton back and it’s another year for a young offense. If Lock can put it together (unlikely) we’ll know what the future looks like. If he can’t we should be bad enough to be in a position to get a QB next year.

They were 10th in the league in dropped passes. Not great but not enough to try to place blame there

He completely fell apart when the games got tight and is a turnover machine

Absolutely not. Would our QB problem be solved? Yes. But trading all those picks hamstrings you from fielding a competitive team around him.

Rams haven’t had a first round pick in 5 years and are doing fine without a real QB.

Dont fall for the trap of overinflating the value of the potential of those picks over the very real value of an MVP caliber QB on your roster

Having DW would mask a lot of deficiencies on the team, IMO. Denver also has pieces they could trade away for drafts picks, like Von Miller or Justin Simmons (assuming they don’t want to extend either players).

They think Denver will give up 3 first rounders and 2 2nd rounders for him? Lol

PFF loves SIMPing for overrated arse QBs (Watson and Wilson).

They were getting Pro Bowl/All-Pro caliber players for those first rounders soooo

I didn’t think i was right but I had to get back to work

I still stand by my point: ride Lock next year if Watson isn’t on the block and figure it out then.

We’ve seen how far a “team” can get without quality QB play. It’s really hard to even get mediocre QB play even. We’re onto year 5 post Manning now and the best we’ve been is 9-7 with my boy Trev Siemian. That team was a Jimmy Garrapolo away from being 12-4. That team also isn’t walking through that door. We could use an elite QB such as Watson then fill out the roster around him.

Absolutely.

Plus, we’ve seen why happens when an elite QB lands on a team. They recruit free agents, like PM18 did while in Denver.

I think Lock can be a good NFL QB, this year will be the key to whether he becomes Chase Daniel or Alex Smith. Not a guy who can get you a ring, but I think he can be a regular playoff guy
