8 solid games of NCAA D1 MLAX all on ESPNU this weekend.

So far UNC + Rutgers have earned their Ws.
6 games to go.

Underrated sport. My housemate is a UNC grad, so go Tar Heels I guess?

True statement.

With my limited knowledge I'm rooting for Duke.

So far my bracket is sitting pretty on the day going 3-3. About to be 4-4 when Georgetown finishes off Cuse.

Bryant fought hard to come up with the massive upset but the zebras 10000% kept UVA in the game to get them on to the next round.

Beacket sitting at 4-1.

Fun fact: Bryant is coached by Mike Pressler, who was the head coach at Duke when they got raked over the coals in that bullshite fake rape scandal.

Truth. he's not been at Bryant for 15 seasons & taken the Bulldogs to 5 NCAA tourney appearances. He was absolutely scape goated & I wish him nothing but great success for as long as he wishes to continue coaching.

Maryland making decently easy work of Vermont, while Vermont playing very hard & showing their skills. They will likely repeat as conference champions with a return to the bracket in 2022.

It’s amazing how many siblings are on all these teams / coaching staffs, very cool.

W/ the tournament games on, went down a little bit of a lacrosse rabbit hole. I can’t believe this UVA lax murder story is ten years ago already.

Denver - Loyola was a pretty great game

It actually felt good to see a sporting event with a decent amount of fans and cheering and interaction

Sure do miss playing

That finish for the Denver - Loyola game got my heart racing! The sport needs lots more of that to get the fans growing.

Pressler is a great fit for Bryant. He can make underdogs competitive quickly and his coaching style works well for gritty, moderately talented teams that over-perform expectations.

I’m not sure he could have maintained the sustained dominance of the Danowski era (8 straight final fours, three titles, 10 final fours in 13 years) as Danowski’s more laid back style is perfect for a team that has already reached the peak.

Now this is why I finally created an account.

Where did you play? I grew up playing in Penn.

Very happy for the Bernhardt brothers. I had the honor of coaching their late father, Jim Bernhardt who is an absolute legend in the HS/college/pro football + lacrosse coaching worlds. His youngest is the odds on favorite for the Tewaaraton this year (lacrosse's Heisman for those that might not know it).
Get this: Jimmy coaches HS, college, & NFL football as well as HS, college, & professional lacrosse.
His 3 sons have all attended Maryland to play lacrosse, all 3 have been on Team USA, & the youngest is now up for the sports highest individual honor. 1 son coaches at Maryland & the other coaches at Vermont (made the tournament this year for 1st time).
Talk about an all-american dad/family dream...

I love both Pressler & Danowski for their individual coaching styles + successes. I will always hate what Alleva did to Pressler.

Yep, in Hartford this year.

What a dominating win by UVA over Georgetown. Rutgers keeping it very competitive against top seed UNC.

Why does Duke look like they are wearing Carolina blue?
