He did good in the busch series at least. I raced with him on iracing a while back. He was cool, but got pissed off at some guy.

He rejuvenated his career in the Busch Series and seemed to kind of figure out that mental health wise, top tier rides in the that series is better than the dumpster fires he was dealt in Cup.

I really wanted him to do well as a Yates fan, but he did come in as the team was going down.

Yeah Sadler deserved better. He had top-10 talent but could never find a team worth a damn. And when he did finally land w/such a team, Evernham, as luck would have it Ray lost his edge and the team went downhill.
Too bad SHR wasn't around then. He could of won quite a bit w/them IMO. He was a good driver.

He could have won with Ganassi racing. Were they around back then?

They were around, but were just starting to come up as a multi car team. Ganassi merged with DEI and started to catch a little stride, but it was right around the time things were falling apart at Evernham.

IRacing Pro Invitational Series race on the Bristol dirt tonight. Been a lot of drama on Twitter about Timmy Hill not getting invited to race in it over the last few days, but Keselowski couldn’t do it tonight and Timmy Hill will drive the 2 car.

If this goes well for this weekend, will NASCAR try to implement a dirt track race into the circuit or do y’all think this will be just a flash in the pan?

Barring disaster I would expect this race to be dirt at Bristol in the spring for the foreseeable future

Yeah it'll be this way from here on. They finally realized that no one wants to watch cookie cutters over and over.

But Bristol isn’t a cookie cutter compared to the 1.5’s. Ide like to see them bring back Bristol as a paved track but do away with some 1.5’s and go to a track that was designed as a mud short track. What do I know.... Not my money, not my business.

No, it's not. But the repave or whatever they did to it a while back really screwed it up.

They wanted to make it more competitive and do away with the bump and run, but that was what people loved about Bristol were the bumps that turned into more than bumps.

Yeah I can't remember exactly what they did now, but it made the high line the fast line which is opposite of what it always was.

They're just teasing us. They'll go back to the cookie cutters before you know it.

I think you're wrong on this one

Yeah, they’ve hemorrhage too much viewership... have to go back to the roots.
Take away downforce and aerodynamics & lower the horsepower would be a start. It’s crazy to think many of the safety features you see standard in automobiles came from nascar. EX: power steering.

Progressive banking.
Dale Jr says they should go back to asphalt. They switched from asphalt to concrete in 92. Concrete still produced a lot of great action in the mid-late 90’s thru mid 2000’s, so I don’t about the asphalt vs concrete. but when they went to progressive banking like 10 years ago, it got boring.

lower the horsepower
If they lower the horsepower any further, it’ll be the Kentucky derby.
