Rain has back built toward the track now. They'll end up calling it.

How big will the ESPN and media coverage be? It will be interesting to see if ESPN/Disney recognizes NASCAR, as their MO is to forget a sport exists unless they have a contract with it. Notice how they completely forget NASCAR INDY and Hockey (until recently)

Why didn’t they let Bubba get in his car and drive it to victory lane?

They are liberal. This will be covered and then they will forget about in about a week.

If I’m not mistaken. Since they didn’t complete the second stage. Drivers in the top 10 will be awarded stage points along with overall race points.

This wasn't a freaky deal like Marcis at Richmond in 1982 or Buescher at Pocono in 2016, where somebody won because they stayed out and everyone else pitted and it rained. Bubba did what he needed to do to get to the front when he needed to get to the front, he was leading when it rained and the reality in auto racing is that weather happens. Congratulations to him and MJ and Hamlin.

I know this is gonna be downvoted to high hell, but as a brotha who watches NASCAR regularly it’s pretty cool to see him win, yes it was rain shortened, but a win nonetheless. I thought a Superspeedway race would be his best chance because that seems to be his strength. Hopefully with Kurt Busch coming, 23XII can build on the 1.5 mile program

I gotta admit, I didn’t know Bootie Barker was now the crew chief for the 23 car

He’s only been on the box a couple of weeks for the 23. Mike Wheeler had been the crew chief, but he’s like competition director or something similar for 23XI in addition to being crew chief, and he’s stepped away from being crew chief to focus on his larger role in the team.
