Good signing by Washington, takes them out of Hudson probably

The #Nationals, who last saw reliever Will Harris in the World Series, have just signed him to a three-year, $24 million contract.

Catcher Jason Castro and the Los Angeles Angels are in agreement on a one-year, $6.85M deal, pending physical, sources tell ESPN. Castro rounds out an Angels lineup that added Anthony Rendon and should have top outfield prospect Jo Adell in the big leagues early this season.

Very good signing. Trill was automatic for all but like 2 pitches last post season. Gonna miss his demeanor on the bump hope he does well.

Astros going to have to depend on some young arms for the 6th and 7th innings this year.

3 years 24 mil for Harris

They will have an interesting rotation/bullpen... Counting on a lot of youth. I really thought they would sign someone like Pineda cheap

Heh, Saberhagen must have pitched for the Mets like 25 years ago. I hope he and Bonilla remembered to send their agents a Christmas card.

Why are the Astros letting everyone get away? I thought their owner didn't care about money

Outfielder/pitcher Oscar Colás, one of the best prospects to emerge from Cuba in years, has defected and will seek a deal with a major league team, sources familiar with his plans tell ESPN. Colás, 21, played in Japan last year and hit .302/.350/.516. He’s a LHP up to 95, too.

Forget how big a prospect Brinson was

When the Rangers traded for Lucroy and Jeffress I was PISSED that JD sent Brinson instead of Gallo.

Never been more happy to be wrong

Does he have to get international signing stuff? If so it eliminates the Yankees since they blew their load for Dominguez.

I believe so. A coworker told me they're expecting him to sign in July after the reset of the pools. Not sure where he read it, but probably MLB Trade Rumors.

See it now
quote:

remains to be seen whether Colas will emerge as a two-way threat in the majors a la Shohei Ohtani, but nevertheless, it’s likely he’ll get “significant interest” from major league teams, per Passan. Colas could wait until at least July to sign with a big league club, however, as there appears to be less money available to him now that the current international signing period – which began July 2 – is almost a half-year old.

Free-agent infielder Starlin Castro in agreement with #Nationals, pending physical, sources tell The Athletic. Move would not take them out of Donaldson sweepstakes. Plan is for Castro to play second base.

The question is are they planning to package Keiboom in a trade for a 3rd baseman
