Flaherty just lost a no hitter in the top of the 7th because the ball took a bad hop off the corner of the turf near first base in Arizona. Weird fluke bounce.

Flaherty has been the best pitcher in baseball since....the break. He has been so dominate on the mound that not even his own team can get a run!
I don't have the stats but seems like every recent game he has gotten just a run or two to work with....fortunatly he has been killing the opponents

Flaherty was the wise guys bet to win the Cy young this year. I was listening to one of the tout shows and they were talking about MLB bets(team totals, hr leader,etc), and they said that Flaherty was getting a lot of steam at the windows from the wise guys.
Shame to start the season he tried to nibble, rather than trust his stuff, was it him or maddux???

If someone just told you that the Cardinals bullpen was on a stretch of giving up only 2 runs in 12 innings, you would be very okay with that.
This particular stretch just happened to occur all in one game.
It's not the bullpen's fault they didn't win. It's the offense.
