If only the NHL would've taken a page from the NBA and fixed the lottery so he ended up in Arizona. Wouldn't have to worry about Yotes franchise again...
Probably more money to be made having the Leafs be good though, so it makes sense.

Wanted him to replace Orpik, but this "injury" to Alzner might've been a blessing in disguise because I didn't see Trotz benching Orpik. Need Schmidt vs these fast teams.

Outside of some brief Olympic games, this is the first hockey game I've ever tried to watch from beginning to end.
Being from the Deep South hockey was essentially a non-factor, but the Caps have some good support in the city and people keep trying to get me into the sport.
All I know about the Caps are Ovechkin and massive playoff chokes. Am I missing anything else?
That encompasses about 50% of all my NHL knowledge.
It's been a fun watch so far. Hoping to get to a Caps game next year since I've heard to really enjoy the sport it should be seen live.

Go to a game at Verizon. You'll be hooked. I'd suggest going to a playoff hockey game as well. There's no better playoffs out there.
Caps are definite chokers. This is without a doubt the best team they've ever had though. They made the SCF in 98 with Kolzig and Bondra and got promptly swept by the Wings. It's been a lot of heartbreak ever since. The Penguins own the Caps much like the Yankees did the Sox until the Sox got rid of that demon. Hopeful that the Caps can knock out the Pens this year on the way to their first Cup. It would be so fitting.
