Was that from a puck?
Yep. Puck rode up his stick and nailed him in the face. He came back out with a face shield and kept playing.

Are you wanting Oilers to win or lose?

Pathetic energy in the building all night. SJ hasn't exactly given them much to cheer for, but still.
What a shite show.
What a shite show.

There's also a lot of Oilers fans there tonight too so might be part of the problem.

Yeo and McClellan having success against their former team.

I knew I'd get sucked into these playoffs if I started paying closer attention. They might cost me a letter grade on my next math test Tuesday, but there's worse things to lose a letter grade over.
I wanted the Caps to finally get it done this post season, but I'm not seeing/hearing the heart of a champion from that team. Who knows, maybe Washington will show us all a different gear, but I'm just seeing it right now, especially during 5 -vs- 5 Hockey. Toronto has been playing good Hockey lately and they might put the Caps down this 1st round. I like Toronto, so that bandwagon jump would be an easy transition. Boy, what a pass in OT by Brain Boyle! I like Brian Boyle's game, he's rock solid, and was the only wrong move the Lightning's front office made at the Trade deadline. At the time it was the right move, but hindsight makes me think the Lightning's chances of making playoffs would've increased by keeping Brain Boyle. I'm hoping the Lightning's front office can pull of some more magic they're good at, and sign RFA Brain Boyle this off-season, but I don't think they'll be able to do it. Enjoy him Toronto, he's probably not done stepping up these playoffs.
Pitt, Predators, Montreal are looking solid so far and if not for Henrik Lundqvist, things would be much worse for the Rangers.

Totally fair. They won a game they probably shouldn't have and then lost a game they probably should have won. They came out great in Game 2, dominated play, and held the Leafs without a shot on goal for the game's first 10 minutes. And what did the have to show for it? A 0-0 game. And then they let the Leafs score first and take a 1-0 lead against the run of the play. They go into the 2nd, take the lead, and seem to be cruising, and then play a disastrous five minutes of hockey that flips the 1-goal lead into a deficit.
We learn a lot of what the team is made of tonight. they have faced adversity before, but they really shouldn't be playing even with the Leafs, who lack a functional defense even when they are healthy. Give Babcock a lot of credit, he has won the matchup game so far, and they are destroying the Caps on the dot, pressing their one advantage into a massive one.
I think Carlson's hurt and should probably sit, but that won't happen. But he is getting spun around like a turnstile. He's been the Caps' worst player by a country mile. And the Leafs have noticed when he's on the ice, and tried to put speed up against him whenever they can.

So let me get this straight...The Leafs are tied up going home because of their proficiency at face-offs?
What about their corsi numbers?
If only the Caps would live up to their billing as the best team in the league.
I think team speed might also be a factor, and the idea our Goalie is outplaying your goalie. Then there is the concept that our guys are blocking shots and sacrificing as a team and your team is lead by a lazy Russian that disappears for periods at a time.
