I was happy to see Nashville get the W tonight. Got a friend who's a Pens fan, got a little overconfident after that first goal and kept telling me how Olczyk was saying the Preds have outplayed them this series. I don't think he's too far off in his analysis.

Yeah, it's funny as soon as someone falls behind someone always says they are "done" or immediately writes them off. Some Lightening fan earlier in the thread already buried the Predators when they fell behind. After all the 2-0 and 3-0 (including the Predators trailed 3-0 in Game 1 only to later tie) deficits that have been erased, I still don't know why people are so quick to give up on X team when they fall behind.

Downtown Nashville looked like a blast. Someday before I die, I hope Scottrade looks like that. Nashville Chamber Of Commerce has to be loving this.

Didn't take many pictures, but it was insanity. I've not seen that many people in one place since the 96 Olympics, pre-bombing. Broadway was packed three blocks backwards, some three hours before the game.
Didn't see any posted covers, but we didn't have any difficulty getting drinks or toilets. I was genuinely surprised at how well organized it was. Nashville has the infrastructure to handle a party like that, even with a decent-sized chunk off-limits due to the CMA fest preparations.

I realize 1-0 leads aren't safe, or even 3 goals leads these days. When the Predators went down 1-0 in game, after digging a 2-0 series hole, I witnessed a concerning issue arise. The normal error window the Predators had/have is very small, and going down 1-0 during a must win game was a real reason for concern. Especially with how bad the Predators played those first 10 minutes and their goalie looking like Swiss cheese up to that point in time. The margin for errors was so slim, and even with that comeback win last night, it might not be enough to overcome game 1's loss. I'm a logical kinda of fellow, and try to keep emotional responses in check. When it was 1-0, I called it like I saw it, it was all Pens at that point in time. Luckily, the Preds had an answer last night.
Hopefully the Predators can do something not many NHL teams do, overcome a 2-0 series hole. Beating the Pens in a 7 game series is hard lately, but having to beat them 4 of 5 is real chore. Especially when considering only 5 teams of 80 teams have actually overcome a 2-0 series deficit, I really hope logic/odds are wrong this time around...

I flew up from Louisiana to visit my old stomping grounds and a good friend and we were at the game last night. It was the single most exciting sporting event I've ever been to. When I lived in Nashville, I use to attend 4-5 games a season and I always knew we had a good hockey fan base. I truly miss living there and last nights game was epic! I really hope we can win the Stanley Cup because Nashville deserves it.
