Thats 115. They are fricked this year but NEXT year. Salary cap jumps to 108 but the Tax Threshold goes to 127.

You're a year off. 108 mill is the projection for the 17-18 season.

69 for 15-16
90 for 16-17
108 for 17-18

No. Gasol is basically the perfect Spur, if they thought they could get him they would probably be putting the full court press on him instead of LMA

Why would you say this? Aldridge is the better player.

Factor in defense and the Spurs offensive system, Gasol would have been the perfect replacement for Duncan.

Marc Gasol is a MUCH better passer. Both are good interior defenders, especially Gasol.

Both fit well in San Antonio. Gasol's passing skills in that European style offense would be vital.

Even Duncan averages like 3 assists per game. It's all about ball movement.

I don't dispute any of that. Aldridge is the better player though.

@BaxterHolmes: Seems the Lakers have deleted their tweets recruiting LaMarcus Aldridge to LA, such as the one w/ Adam Levine: LINK

I still can't help but laugh at a lot of the MSB tards who think every good young player is counting down the days until they can leave their team and beg the lakers to offer them a contract.

Lakers have struck out in FA like 3 years running now.

It'll be 4 years when KD doesn't choose them either.

Agreed.

I think I'd take Gasol over Aldridge if I'm San Antonio, though; given their current pieces and system.

So is this going to be a year where the Lakers pursue a bunch of big names and end up with jack or Robin Lopez?
