This. No way any player, especially a star player, would consider the Suns in the same breath as the Spurs

Also. I read somewhere that the Cavs cap is gonna be around 88 mill. That was before the Shumpert signing. So now its 98. Probably get JR for around 7 if he stays so thats 105. Probably bring in another 10 mill worth of assets for Haywood if he feels like spinning the money.

Thats 115. They are fricked this year but NEXT year. Salary cap jumps to 108 but the Tax Threshold goes to 127.

LeBron will get an extra 10 mill per year with his new max contract putting them around 118.

Would be under the tax threshold and be good to go.

These are all rough estimates but looks doable

DA backing it up:

Suns believed before meeting Aldridge they had a shot. They were right. Chandler surprise big. Phoenix was "very impressive," per source.

I mean what's the reasoning behind PHX? It's a lateral move instead of a contender like SAS.

Long term SAS is sketchy too though. Duncan Pop and Manu contemplate retiring after every year.

Spurs without Pop is a scary thought

I would definitely do them over Phoenix though lol

This really confuses me.

What about Knight/Chandler is impressing a guy who has been playing with Lillard/Lopez?

I'm reading that Gasol is expected to sign back in Memphis either today or Thursday. Has that happened yet?

If Phoenix swoops in and steals Aldridge, does Memphis get a little worried that San Antonio might do the same to their guy?

Still have parker/kawhi/green etc

I mean the dude likely wants a ring and HOU/SAS are clearly closer.

I was going to try to make the argument that Phoenix might be better, but yea it's pretty much a lateral move. Lillard > Knight, Bledsoe = Matthews, Batum = Morris (this past season), Chandler > RoLo

Doc tried hard to sign Kendrick Perkins last season. He chose Cleveland but played sparingly. Doc is still interested.

David Aldridge ?@daldridgetnt 55m55 minutes ago
Dan Gilbert thought the new CBA in 2011 would devastate smaller revenue teams (which Cavs were at time). Today: $230M in new contracts.

There are some reports out of Spain that is done, but nothing confirmed here. No one is really worried about it. It probably will be done tomorrow

No. Gasol is basically the perfect Spur, if they thought they could get him they would probably be putting the full court press on him instead of LMA

Are they gonna even be able to retain Mozgov and J.R. at this point with LeBron still waiting, along with a possible deal for Dunleavy?
