Hibbert to the Lakers is official. I know there was some chatter earlier in the day about Indiana backing out with Dallas swooping in.

The Lakers have acquired center Roy Hibbert in a trade with Indiana for a future 2nd round pick. Hibbert was in All-Star in 2012 and 2014.

That's the best Indiana can get for him even with it being an expiring?

I think they just wanted to get rid of him. Rumors were they were hoping he wouldn't opt in to his contract.
It must be nice to be in the situation they are in right now. They can basically rebuild and still probably make it to the playoffs in the East.

OKC gonna be stuck with Enes as their main guy in a couple years after KD and Westbrook split.

ESPN reporting Dallas has agreed to trade MIL a second rounder for ZaZa Pachulia.

They let Harden go because they didn't want to pay him the max, but that's what they are going to give Enes Kanter.

It's ridiculous. OKC fans must be flabbergasted. Max/tax for Kanter, but trade Harden.

Yup.
And if he can make any strides on D it could be fine. He's still only 23.

Wes took less to sign in DAL with the intention that DJ would come. Didn't happen so he gets 4/70 instead of 4/53.

Story going online now: ESPN sources say Deron Williams seeking release from Brooklyn Nets so he can sign with his hometown Dallas Mavericks

As covered in the story, there is strong mutual interest between Mavs and Deron Williams to strike deal if Williams and Nets can part ways

He's an idiot. We're going to lose our top-7 protected pick to Boston this year, I just sense it. Lose the chance to get a stud prospect like Skal, Simmons and Bender, and then go through another pointless offseason next year of trying to get the big fish and come up with a minnow

If he tanks hasn't Carlisle basically said he would leave?
