Yep

Get a stud in the draft and position yourself to make a run at someone in 2017.

He's going to set y'all into 9th-10th seed hell. He needs to swallow his pride a bit but after the DJ fiasco he'll be desperate.

HP posed this question:

Reggie Jackson or Enes Kanter on a max? You have to choose one or the other.

No other options

Better question: Go into tax for James Harden or Enes Kanter?

Yeah, you go with the big man who can score and rebound even if he's a turnstile defensively over Reggie fricking Jackson

I agree with that, too. Kanter is more useful to OKC, as well.

Kanter, easily. No worth the max yet, but he's a very good player with more upside potential than Jackson.

I think it's an intriguing question because there's basically two ways to do it: Build from the inside out or the outside in. Some may feel a low-post guy is better while others will feel a point guard is more necessary.

And I thought the question was just based on "Who would you rather," excluding the teams involved. If we're going by importance to their respective team than yeah, give me Enes

I would lean toward Kanter for no other reason than it is harder to acquire talent at the Center position right now and Ibaka is the perfect pairing next to him...if you are a big man with a pulse you get paid, makes the contract easier to stomach. I would be hesitant if I were starting a franchise because you aren't winning anything with a C who rolls a red carpet out to the rim on every defensive possession unless they are paired with an elite rim protector.

He is (i know you said that)

I think Kanter over Jackson is a no brainer. Not that Jackson is a scrub, but there are a ton of players in the league with his skill set. A big who can score like Kanter is harder to find, plus he is still young. His defense will improve.

thats what media down here thinks

I'm not sure its even possible for Dallas to assure they keep that pick via tanking. They'd have to be a bottom 4 team for it to be completely safe and even w/o getting Deron I don't think they could be that bad unless they straight up didn't play Matthews and Parsons for half this year and gave Dirk every other game off.

Dallas does not look like a playoff team.

ok great.

they also dont look like a bottom 4 NBA team.

if that pick wasn't in Boston I'd think tanking is the way to go. But making it to the bottom 4 to keep that pick is going to be harder than trying to sneak into the playoffs IMO.

You'd at least have your excuses for Dirk, Matthews and Parsons if you went that route. Dirk played in the Euro Championships, don't want to overexert him. Don't want to rush Matthews with his serious injury and Parsons is coming off a microfracture surgery, best to not overexert him either

Fill your roster with young guys who might pan out like Evans, K.J. McDaniels, Seraphin, etc.

I see that argument but I just dont think they could be bad enough to guarantee the 4th worst record. They just don't have a team that is bad enough and wired for that.

I'd much rather them try to scratch and claw back into the playoffs than finish with the 5th-7th worst record and then get boned by the ping pong balls w/the 8th pick that would then stay in Boston.

Confused on why Reggie Jackson is the new guy that is cool to hate on.

He was crap the first couple of weeks in Detroit. Over the last 4 weeks of the season, he had two triple doubles and a 20 assist game. In April, averaged almost 19 points on 46% shooting and almost 11 assists a game. With the spacing from Ilyasova and Morris, no reason to think he can't have the same success next year.

Maybe DWill gets healthy and with Carlisle coaching, gets back to Utah-DWill days.

Its a stretch, but I don't blame Cuban for trying after the shite that went down.

He needs a change of scenery. He won't be Utah-Dwill but he can still play.

Clippers To Sign Cole Aldrich

July 10th at 11:59am CST by Chuck Myron
11:59am: Aldrich and the Clippers are still talking, but the expectation is that he’ll indeed sign soon, tweets Arash Markazi of ESPNLosAngeles.com. A league source tells Dan Woike of the Orange County Register that the sides are close to agreement (Twitter link).
