important question: which set of rules?

i presumed we were talking modern basketball and modern NBA rules

Yep. It would be a good series, but Spurs win w/ modern hand check and illegal defense rules.

Lillard/Aldridge/Mo Williams play out of their minds against us.

They have played pretty well and I think that's partially because Tony Parker isn't great defender. That's another reason the Miami match up is so great for the Spurs. No one on that team is going to exploit Parker. I think the Bulls could do that. The main reason I thought it would be difficult for the Trailblazers to advance is the lack of playoff experience. I don't think any of their top 5 players had ever made a second round before. The Rockets had Harden and Howard and wouldn't have felt out of place. I still think the Spurs win that series now (after Mavs series I wasn't sure about the Spurs), but it would have been really fun to watch. A lot of offense.

People (like yourself) are apparently incapable of remembering. The 96 Bulls could turn it on at a whim.
Did you ever watch Jordan ? Youtube some highlights for a refresher and get back to me youngster.

"and they actually beat someone legit in the Finals"

C'mon. That Sonics team played for exactly one title and lost and just two years before were the first #1 seed to lose in the 1st round. 4 NBA Finals in a row, with 2 titles seems like it deserves the term "legit" a tad more.

I'm not sure who wins this matchup, but the Spurs beat a way better team in the Finals.

I'm a relatively young NBA fan, but I've never seen anything like the Spurs in this Finals, particularly their last 3 games.

I have no idea who would win this hypothetical. I hope after you die there's some kind of heavenly youtube function that you can scroll through that allows you to watch things like this.

I remember him quite well.

One great (2nd GOAT) player doesn't make his era better than today.

So let me get this straight? Rodman guards Duncan? Who guards Tony? Parker has difficulty against length, and I don't think the Bulls featured multiple guys with that to stop Parker.

Chicago down low didn't feature offensive threats. It was a Jordan and Pippen show...with some kick outs to shooters.

Chicago was methodical and crisp, but not necessarily unstoppable.

My memory is fading, but wasn't Ron Harper a defensive specialist?

Bye Bye Tony Parker.

2014 Spurs all day. The 1996 Bulls would be around 46 years old as a team and have not played together in a long time.

Silly question

Bulls.

People tend to be caught up in the now and trending. I would imagine that Bulls squad would play some D and is far superior to this Heat team the Spurs beat. As someone else mentioned, the bulls were deep with bench.
