Bulls because they actually played defense back in the day.

Yeah, over the entire season, 1996 Bulls. Over a finals, I think I go with the Spurs. Only team I have ever seen as dominant at their peak was the 2001 Lakers team.

That would be my matchup. 2001 Lakeshow vs 2014 Spurs.

i'll go with the 96 Bulls led by the one the only His Airness... 72 wins means you came hard EVERY night... and they actually beat someone legit in the Finals

the spurs looked like your typically strong finals team in games 1 and 2

in games 3-5, they were on another level. their shooting and passing was seriously mind-blowing, looking back

Dennis Rodman would be all up in Boris Diaw and Kawhi Leonard's heads.

'86 Celtics of '87 Lakers?

I don't think so.

(or are you that young?)

That Bulls team had one of the best and deepest benches ever. Big part of all the regular season wins. Toni kucock was a legit all star that was playing behind pippin.

lol

They are the best Spurs team and had one of the best Finals performances ever, but just because they beat down your boy doesn't make them the best team the last 30 years.

Bulls.

Pippen/Jordan combo on defense would work the Spurs on the wing, where they killed MIA

Spurs entire postseason run was historic. All 4 wins v heat and blazers by 15+, 3 by 17+ v okc and game 7 blowout v dallas

As a lifelong Bulls fan, it's hard to say anyone would beat the GOAT, but if anyone could, it's the 2014 Spurs. And down the road, I'm sure this Spurs team will get overlooked (not by me) and that's just sad.

Yep. Still take the 2001 Lakeshow as the GOAT at their peak. They closed out the season on a 23-1 run I believe. Only loss was when Iverson went berserk with 48 points in game 1 of the finals and I really think LA was overconfident in that first game after destroying the entire western conference including a very good Kings team that took them to 7 games the year before.
