With all the talk about Tiger not catching Jack's record, i thought i would put some perspective on it. To keep up with Jack's pace, he doesn't need to win another major until the 2014 British Open.

That's Jack's pace....Tiger is nowhere near on the same pace he was 4-5 years ago

Tiger has had worse stretches in his career.

I think if Tiger works with Sean Foley, Foley will get his swing on the right track. Foley currently works with Justin Rose, Sean O'hair, and Hunter Mahan and a few others. Those three all have won in the past two years.

Take out Jacks's win in 1986 at the age of 46, and see what kind of pace he's on then. Tiger isn't playing until he's 46.

They've all been succesful as of late. Mahan has been a very good player over the past several years. Rose has had a good year. O'Hair is a little inconsistent but that has more to do with his putting.

I think Tiger could do well with him because those three guys that I mentioned all are regarded as having technically sound swings. Really a perfect position at the top. All these swing coaches are know a lot about the swing, but Foley seems to have a reputation as being especially well versed with the swing.

His body won't allow him to swing the way he does for 12 more years, IMO.

2009-2010: 6, 6, 2, 4, 4, 23, 28

Pretty interesting topic here. Everybody knows my thoughts on Tiger and winning majors but let me put things in a little more perspective..

Jack won 6 majors after the age of 35. Tiger needs 5 to beat Jacks record. In the modern history of golf the following people have won 5 majors in their entire career (minus Nicklaus and Tiger):

Hogan
Player
Watson
Seve
Faldo
Palmer

That's it ... So from here on out - if you wipe out all he has done in the game - Tiger will have to have one of the best careers in the history of the game to break jack's record.

I just do not see it happening

A couple of years ago I would have and probably did say that TW was a lock to break Jack's record.

Now with his personal life and his game both in the pits I'm not so sure. His biggest challenge is to win the next one.

as long as he keeps trying to swing Haney's way, he will struggle.

He needs to go back to swinging the way he was circa 2000-2002. Still don't quite understand why he changed....he was clearly the better player with that swing. And don't even get me started on how Haney has ruined his driver....

I am thankful that the tournament was cancelled this weekend .. played two rounds at the bridges and I am amazed all my clubs are still in one piece.
