ewww, you're a smart one. Except, you're a bit backwards. I started a lame flame to draw attention to this post because losers like you check more profiles than posts. Marketing at its best!

1. Tulane (10-2) - It looks like this ballclub has finally returned to post-season form. With a very impressive week of baseball, slamming an undefeated SELU 12-1 and series win v/s the crimson tide, this team should see a big bump in the polls. If we don't see them in any of the top 25 polls this week, another (4-1) week ending with a series win @ wichita state, they def will see top 20.

i wont disagree with tulane being #1 necessarily but while the win against selu was impressive it was also midweek. nothing is impressive about taking 2 of 3 from bama though.

This is exactly why so many opposing fans hate LSU fans. Excuse after excuse after excuse. That statement might have been true 10 years ago, but it definitely is not true today.

I went to the Tulane/Bama game yesterday and they have a really, really good ballclub this year. The atmosphere yesterday reminded me of a regional at Alex Box. It was my first time in the new Turchin and I was impressed with the setup. Not a bad seat in the house.

Not a fan of Tulame, but in the Sunday win vs Bama, all three Tulame pitchers used are Catholic High-BR grads.

CHSBears, those 3 looked real good yesterday. I wondered how Massey got away from us, but after talking breifly to his parents, he is at the right place. They love New Orleans and Tulane, so I can't fault his decision. I heard the postgame show yesterday where Jones said he might end up being there Friday night starter by the end of the year. Ponder and Facundus out of the pen are just nasty. TU's bullpen is 7-0 w/ a 0.89 ERA on the year.

Then I apologize. I've just heard that excuse to many times.

Tulane will prob throw their Friday night guy at us, then have their Saturday starter be the first one out of the pen!

While I don't agree with the rankings. Tulane is off to a good start and will be a good test for little Nola Tuesday. It should be a fun game.

I agree with the majority of your rankings and believe that Tulane has the best squad in the state. Its good to see them back competing.
Also im still not sold on LSU or SELU yet. Im rooting for both of them and know their coaches will push them through the season but SELU needs more bats to show up consistently; only 2 batters over .300 and still looking for the 1st HR.

Didn't Bama get swept but a Sun Belt team recently?

yes bama is bad. i thought tulane would sweep but they still won 2 of 3 so props there for taking care of business. but its not really a notch on the belt regarding their resume.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I guess you have to pound your chest over beating a lower tier SEC team if you play in Conference USA.

I dont see anyone pounding their chest. However, its certainly more impressive than a sweep of Dartmouth or a 1 out of 3 against Appy St.

Not really. 1 out of 3 against app St and 2 of 3 against bama are about equal.

Who else was left off your list? Grambling State, Northwestern State, and McNeese State?

That would cover all in state teams, I believe.

A team that should compete for their conference title as they did last season.

Appy St

On a seven game win streak, and dismantling some opponents. We'll see how good they really are in the weeks to come, but they aren't a bad team at all. LINK

Never said they were, but losing a series to them is not equal to winning a series against Alabama.

I know you're joking but were throwing the same midweek starter as last week
