I have no idea, I dont own the time machine that can take our starting 22 and play it against teams from 20+ years ago

Again, if Bo Nix isn't a freshman and Tua and the punter don't drop the ball, we're not having the conversation.

Give me ONE similar scenario for 95 Nebraska.

You can't. They were never challenged because they were 40 points better than the #2 team in the nation.

LSU had a great year, but not on the same level as 95 Huskers as far as dominance.

Laugh if you want, if we were talking about Alabama with the same resume LSU has, none of you would be making this argument.

Its not arguable

Resume

Team A

8 ranked wins
5 top 10 wins
10 wins over teams with winning record

Team B

4 ranked wins
4 top 10 wns
6 wins over teams with winning record

Not a single person in sports isnt conceding lsu had th greatest season ever. Thats a given

If you want to argue best team, have at that argument that cant be settled

Resume wise, LSU wins. No debate there.

Now, Nebraska's style of play gives it a good chance against LSU. Put another way, if there were a college team this year with two backs like Green and Phillips to go with a ferocious d line, it would be real battle.

Greatest season ever?

Every national championship team in history can make that argument. They beat who was on their schedule, just like every other undefeated team in history has.

Right

But we inarguably did it against the toughest schedule

Is it Nebraska's fault most of the teams they played sucked????

BTW. The Texas win was meh. AU was overated. Oklahoma was way overated. I'll give you Bama,FLA, and Clemson were decent wins.

Definitely dominant. I also recall reading an article in SI many years ago (2005ish?) that detailed how Nebraska was one of the programs that was in the forefront of steroid use in the 80s/90s. Apparently there was a former Olympian power lifter that coached at Auburn and distributed quite a bit of stuff to the Nebraska program. All that time, we just thought they had big 'corn fed' O-Lineman.

If anyone can find that SI article and link it, I'd be interested in reading it again.

I dont think you know what that meana, because I'm arguing with you.

You beat Clemson, Florida, and Bama (worst Bama defense under Saban since 2007)

Minnesota beat Auburn.

South Carolina beat Georgia.

Several people beat Texas.

Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Mississippi St were so good they all have new coaches this year.

Jimbo won 8 games playing 19 freshmen.

It was a down year for not only the SEC but everybody not named LSU or Clemson.

Thats why it's arguable.

Ahh

Two of Nebraska’s top wins were Kansas and Kansas st

Want to talk about down years still?

I'm not the one claiming the "greatest season ever".

They were the greatest team ever, and their sheer dominance over EVERYBODY they played showed it.

No 3 pt games over a freshman QB.

No 5 pt games again a team having a down year.

No 7 wins over ranked teams
No 10 wins over teams with winning records

Great team, not best season by any measurable standard

No such thing for "greatest season" because that's 90% emotional

I correct

Greatest season uses no emotions. Just facts

Greatest team is emotion and eye test

Would you say the same thing if it was Bama or Clemson instead LSU?

You wouldn't.

Thats because it's emotional.

Yeah. My eyes watched them completely dominate everything that got in their way. My eyes see their scores and see that nobody even challenged them.

LSU, in "the greatest season ever" can't claim that. They almost lost to Auburn, who lost to Minnesota.

Yes, there isn’t anything to discuss

More ranked wins
More top 10 wins
More wins against winning teams

It’s simply a better resume. It has zero emotion involved. It’s cool, you are an eye test guy.
