With rule changes in the nineties the size really took off, but the big guys were fat.

Nebraska had a season

Lsu had a season

Lsus season is more impressive. That isnt arguable. Im just pointing out the inarguable facts

Okay, dude. Just stfu. I actually think LSU was probably the better team, but you can't hold games that Nebraska couldn't have possibly scheduled against them.

Stop being so focking douchey.

Also, Rafa is better than Roger at tennis. Eat a dick.

It’s more like 20 of them played in the NFL but 4 sounds good

But the FACTS are LSU went through a much much tougher and proven gauntlet

LSU also played three more games than ‘95 Nebraska did. They had an 11-game regular season, no conference championship game, and only one bowl game.

You can’t use LSU’s schedule to bolster your argument due to the fact that ‘95 Nebraska didn’t play in the playoff era. In a similar format, LSU only has three Top 10 wins: Florida, Alabama, and your bowl game opponent.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this board. Jesus.

You can't use LSU's schedule to say it has a better resume because Nebraska didn't have the chance to have the same schedule? That's asinine. The schedules are what they are. Maybe Nebraska dominates a few more top 10 teams too, but LSU did. That counts.

Not when you run the focking option

Navy gave up 17 sacks this year while passing 60% less times than the 95 Huskers. The 95 team passed more than you think, their starters would get pulled in the 3rd qtr and then it was strictly ground and pound. I can guarantee you zero sacks has never happened in modern football and will never happen again

It could easily happen if a team is running the focking option.

What, like they made a roster, or a practice squad? Cool story.

And how big was that focking roster? Get back to me on the percentages on that.

There's a difference between a triple option offense and a power option offense. The pass is still very much a threat in the latter. For instance, 1995 Alabama - a run balanced team - attempted 289 total passes that year. 1995 Nebraska - a power option team - attempted 226 passes that year.

Draft bump

LSU ties the record for most players taken in a draft at 14(doesn’t include sure fire first rounders stingley and chase). Meaning minimum 16/22 starters from 2019 will be drafted. Just insane. Actual number will likely be around 20

LSU 2nd most all time first round picks at 5

LSU has a player from every single offensive position group taken in the draft

It’s over, the draft put LSU over the top

That is unreal. Especially due to the fact that this was a great Spurrier team reinventing the SEC.

The draft numbers don’t mean crap. A prime 95 Nebraska team vs the 2019 LSU would be very interesting.....
