Laughing at wins over a 90s KSU team? When did you start watching football?

Great team, not best season by any measurable standard

I'm not sure best season is this simple. Best season is also about how much better than the competition you are, not just SOS rankings.

Numbers like who beat the most ranked teams are just stats, but they don't tell the whole story.

For example, 2002 Ohio State was 14-0 with a better SOS than 95 Nebraska. Who had a better season and who had a better team?

I'd answer Nebraska easily because they got to their championship by beating people down and OSU repetitively squeaked by.

I have no problem with the eye test. The reason why Oklahoma got blown out is because they weren't the 4th best team in the country. A simple eye test knew that before it was announced.

What did your eye test tell you when Nebraska beat 3-8 Washington state by only 14?

Look dude. I doubt you saw 95 nebraska even play. You can use all the resumes and whatever and talk about the eye test. You can't ever go back. I understand but this year's LSU team gave up a ton of points against mediocre offenses. Sorry but 95 Nebraska just crushed everybody. LSu not so much.

Exactly.

2009 Alabama played a tougher schedule than 1995 Nebraska but there isn't a single college football fan out there (including those who root for Alabama) who would argue they are the greatest team of all-time simply because they made it through that schedule undefeated.

We played and defeated six teams that finished ranked, including three in the Top 10, of which two of those finished in the Top 3. 1995 Nebraska may have played four teams that finished ranked in the Top 10 but those were the only ranked teams they played.

Garbage touchdown late when Husker starters out. Nebraska played a very basic game plan as they severely overmatched WSU.

Osborne never cared about stats. Called off the dogs early and showed respect to WSU.

Game wasn’t nearly as close as the score

Huskers outgained WSU 527-302

But LSU “almost lost” to auburn

Glad we are consistent

This. The gap between them and the rest of college football that year was one of the biggest modern football has every had in terms of #1 vs. the rest of it.

Well a 14 point win is more impressive than a three point win.

4 top 10 teams>3 top ten teams

Try and keep up

Once again, LSU inarguable greatest season ever

5 top 10 wins
Best the entire preseason top 4
Best the orange bowl champ
The fiesta bowl champ
The acc champ
Sec East champ

It’s just silly how far away the second best resume is. Just silly
