If someone would have bet eighteen-year-old me that Peter Warrick would have a lackluster NFL career, I would have lost a metric shite-ton of money on that bed.

What FSU did between 1987-2001 is unreal. A top 5 finish each of those years.......amazing.

I remember thinking in the 90's that they've got it made in the ACC much like Clemson today. They didn't lose a conference home game til their 10th season in the league to 2001's Philip Rivers North Carolina St team. They had a chance to come to the SEC but Bowden & company chose the ACC where there was very little NFL talent So they went on a historical run.Now would they had run a few SEC titles I have no doubt, just not as many.

I grew up on ‘90’s CFB, so I’ve recorded a healthy dose of those games to watch this week and on.

The magnitude of the FSU-Miami/Florida games was unreal. As soon as Miami declined, the Gators became a title contender. It’s funny how much the LSU-Bama rematch ruffled feathers, but the same thing happened in ‘96 with FSU and UF. It was a selected game from the Alliance, even though the Gators were #3.

They should send an annual Christmas card to Joe Germaine and David Boston for knocking off Arizona State in Pasadena.

1997 UF vs FSU was the greatest game ever played in the Swamp.

Harder to get louder than it was there for the final 3 minutes

Shoulda won more than 2 natties during this span however that 1999 team and Charlie Ward's execution of that shotgun offense in 1993 are legendary, better 2 than none I suppose

That UVA loss was on the road which may have been their 1st loss in the league. 1st 10yrs they didn't lose a conference home game which was no surprise considering the huge separation of talent they had compared to the other teams.Same with Clemson today.

Bobby Bowden was going to follow Charley McClendon after the 1979 season at LSU if FSU had lost in BR that season. (he told me this personally and it’s been documented)

Biggest ever miss Bama had in hiring a head coach was after the 86 season when Perkins left for the Bucs. Bowden always wanted the Bama job but our dumbass AD made the interview process difficult when he should have just offered him the job.I was so ticked at the time.FSU profited from that mistake while we ended up with Curry who couldn't beat Auburn.

No respect at all as Bowden ducked the SEC to play in a much weaker league. With no BCS to determine, all he had to do was win a bowl game after only playing a Clemson-like schedule. Individual players were great, though.

Some of the best uniforms ever in college sports. its a shame they ruined them. Yes their teams were fast but it even more so that they played fast. This 2019 LSU team had a lot in common with the FSU teams. offensively they attacked the moment they got off the bus and let took the foot off the gas.
