Word is Quin Snyder has been spotted around some Blue Jays practices and taking in some jamborees. Do with that information what you will

St. George #1 again. There was never a doubt. Just got my season tickets.

I wanna say Mercy beat George in last weekends Dunham tourney but as noted George struggles early some years only to come on strong. Aloysius struggled as they break in 6 new players trying to find the right fit to rotate with their top 2 kids
SJV is going to be a handful for any team they face. They have so much size and some good back court kids and will benefit greatly from the zero playing time rules in 8th grade.

This may be a case of "Bama Bias". SGS has always the numbers and talent but my sources inside the program say this is the most undisciplined team they've had in years. They Elite 8 committee will overlook some regular season losses and put them in the field, but look for an uncharacteristic early exit.
SJV made a strong showing at the STA Brett & Brett tournament against some stiff public school competition. They will be the team to beat this year. They've quietly been building a solid athletic program and could be making a push to become one of the blue bloods even with being a smaller school.
CHS is always a wildcard since we don't have a 7th grade team to look at historical information. They've had really great teams and others that were really bad. By the looks of it, they picked up some really good players. It just depends on how well they can put it all together but the pieces are there.
MBS likely has one of the most athletic teams in the field from top to bottom. Ball handlers and shooters all over in addition to their big men will make them a tough task for anyone. A new, young coaching staff is bringing new energy to their program. May be one of the few to really give SJV a challenge.
Aloysius will likely be just outside of the top-tier teams this year. I'm sure their coach will have the team well prepared but their personnel losses may cost them more games than they are used to. They continually stay in the top 5 but can't seem to make that last jump to be truly elite and this year will be a step back.
IMO, past these 5, it's a pretty substantial fall-off. Quite a few really good teams that can compete and may shock the CSAL world if they catch the right team on a bad day but none that would push for a run in post-season play.
Now, I'm really excited for next year's rankings. This year's 7th grade teams may be some of the best the league has seen in quite a while.

The league decided to get some buzz going early pitting #1 SGS vs #2 SJV in the jamboree this Wednesday with Sean Mcdonough and Dick Vitale on the call. This early season game will certainly have a postseason feel.
Well this game certainly lived up to the hype. SJV won on a half-court buzzer beater 27-26. Setting up to be an incredible season.

Being a Dragons fan can be tough at times. People see you as a front runner. Yankees and Cowboys fans know what I’m talking about. It’s about tradition, pride, confidence in knowing you’re the best.

OMG does anyone have the video of this??? WOW

Wild week of jamborees. 2 unranked teams (St. Thomas More and St. Alphonsus) post 20 point wins over 2 ranked teams (St Jude and Holy Family). I’ll be interested to see how the voters react to those upsets.
